This Artist Transforms Places Using Paper Cutouts

This artist has become famous because of his amazing artwork using paper cutouts. He started a couple of years ago when he was in London and wondered how he could photograph the landmarks in an original way.

His first idea was a Big Ben turned into a wristwatch then he went on transforming photos of London Eye, St. Pauls, and Trafalgar Square. After that, his work went viral on Instagram and led to some collaborations with big brands such as Disney, Vodafone, and NFL. He decided to leave his job to become a full-time Instagrammer.

Since then, he traveled the world creating incredible pictures with his cut-outs which now turned into a book called “Around The World in Cut-Outs.”

So the Paperboyo book is on sale tomorrow! Why buy it? Well it’s full of exclusive photos (including scenes from Scotland, Brazil, South Korea, Portugal & Others). It’s got my favourite stories & facts from all of the places I’ve been as well as some insights into my creative process. There’s also a bunch of behind the scenes images and we’ve dedicated a few pages at the back to the failed photos- the ones that didn’t go to plan! There’s even an interactive element in the book for you to go & take some of your own photos in my style. The main reason though is that it’s a book that will inspire you to you see the world a little differently, to look around a little longer, to ponder, to wonder & most of all to get out there and go explore 🌍 Pre-Order right now by clicking the link in my bio.

In 2005 the mayor of Mississauga, a City West of Toronto, announced an international design competition for a tower to be known as Absolute World. Two years later, after a public vote, the winner was selected- Yasong Ma, of MAD Architectural Design Studio in Beijing. Pretty quickly the spiralling, curvaceous tower was nicknamed Marilyn Monroe. When apartments in Marilyn Monroe went on sale, they all sold within 24 hours. So naturally the developers quickly announced that a second Marilyn Monroe was going to be built, also spiralling and asymmetric but apparently this was going to be Marilyn after a binge because the second tower was designed to be rounder and plumper so as to accommodate more apartments #ExploreCanada #MyCanadianAffair @ExploreCanada @airtransat #Toronto

I've got a few more Toronto images to share with you all. This one, with the CN tower, might just be my new favourite photo. The evening I took this I was on the only boat on the water as the sky danced through a spectrum of colours, each colour change transforming the water around me as well as the skyline ahead. The boat's skipper & I snapped away on our cameras, only stopping to whisper 'wow' as another colour came to the palette. I was in my element, but it was only with a bit of luck and a dash of Canadian friendliness that I'd managed to get here. I was in Toronto in June, when the islands were closed due to floods so the ferries weren't running & the water taxis were finishing in the middle of the afternoons. I'd walked down to the harbour to see if I could get out on the water for sunsets but was greeted with headshakes. Eventually I managed to turn one of those headshakes into a nod and so I have to give a shoutout to @infinitywatertaxitoronto, you're a legend. Thanks for showing me one of the very best sunsets I've seen in all of my adventures #ExploreCanada #MyCanadianAffair @ExploreCanada @airtransat #Toronto #CNTower

When I look in your eyes, and you’re looking back in mine, everything feels not quite normal, because I feel stronger, and weaker at the same time. I feel excited, and at the same time, terrified. The truth is I don’t know what to feel, except I know what kind of man I want to be. _______________________________________________________ Sheldon, that was beautiful. _______________________________________________________ I should hope so, that's from the first Spider-Man movie. _______________________________________________________✌🏻Thanks to the awesome team from @grandhyattnyc for the rooftop tour, I love that you guys embrace having such a cool space and share it with your guests. More hotels should make use of their rooftops #nyc #newyork #livinggrandnyc #spiderman #bigbangtheory #sheldoncooper
