Aerial photography lets you see the world from a totally different perspective, quite literally. Such is Zack Seckler’s photography work, which captures the most beautiful landscapes from above.
Seckler travels to various locations and flies in small aircrafts to document the Earth’s surface from a different vantage point. His abstract, minimalist photos provide an incredible view of our planet’s most remote places, highlighting the beauty of each location’s topography.
“From elevations between 50 and 500 feet, the landscape hovers on the line between things looking very real and recognizable and being more abstract. That’s what really draws me in—the line between reality and abstraction,” Seckler said.
His latest solo exhibition, titled Above, opens on June 27 and runs through August 9, 2019. “’Above’ is a retrospective of my aerial photography created over the past decade. All shot from tiny two person airplanes across Africa and Europe,” he wrote on Instagram.
Take a careful look.
