Littering, which is occupying our planet, has become one of our biggest problems. However, there are people who, through various activities, are trying to raise awareness about garbage. Like David Gilliver, a professional photographer and fine artist.
Gilliver specializes in long-exposure and macro photography and the past 12 months he has been dedicating his time on his project called Little People in which he uses his miniature figurines and makes series of photographs in hope to bring awareness of plastic epidemic.
“Earlier this year, I spent several days collecting bags full of plastic and rubbish that had been discarded (or washed up) next to beaches and lochs on the west coast of Scotland, mostly ‘beauty’ spots.” photographer explained. “I kept some of this plastic to make my work (recycling the rest) and returned to the banks of Loch Lomond a couple of months ago to photograph my latest series – Life in Plastic.”
