]]> Giovana Marcon is a Brazilian artist, currently living in the USA. She always loved handcrafts and she first learned her embroidery stitches from her mother, who is an art teacher, and grandmother who was a dressmaker. In 2016, she started her embroidery business called À mão (which means handmade), and her designs are more modern than what her mother taught her.

The idea of adding LED lights in her works came up when Giovana and her husband, who works with electronics, decided to combine their skills and abilities to create a special design. Her husband taught her the electronic part and so the embroidery collection with LEDs was born. She uses fabric, embroidery floss, LED lights, resistors, switches and other components to create starry nights, UFOs, ETs, Zodiac constellations, planets and many more.
