Amanda C. Marino is an artist from Brazil who creates amazing watercolor paintings inspired by our solar system. She equally loves painting planets, galaxies, and the view of the night sky from the Earth.

“My paintings often erase the lines between the real and unreal; the known and the unknown,” the artist shares. “I believe in art that tells a story and I hope to share a little bit about my story through [my work].”

U R A N U S The rebel! Unlike any other planet, it is tilted so extremely far that it essentially orbits the sun on its side. Not only that, but it also spins backwards. So… Uranus pretty much does what it wants • You can watch a quick time-lapsed video of me painting Uranus through my IGTV

Planetarium #5 is now for sale on the website (Free shipping is available for specific orders ) ⠀ Also… I had another bizarre dream last night. I was inside a house that I’ve dreamt of for at least 12 years now. But every year that I dream of this house small details change… like the curtains, the furniture and such and the people in it are different too. In a way, I feel like every-time I have that dream it means a new season in my life is coming. Which is exciting and scary, tbh. • • • Another thing, have you voted yet? The night sky is full of stories. Some, we can see with our bare eyes, others are hidden from our view like a bright little secret. Either way, there’s so much across the empty space between each star. And if I lay quietly just long enough, under the deep indigo sky I can hear in their twinkling words about our past, present and future. Memoirs of the Night Sky.

I finally ran out of space on my phone. After almost 20k photos, I guess it was time ⁣ & while I was going through my camera roll, I found this image with some of my favorite paintings of planets/moons thus far. ⁣ I can’t wait for the new painting I’ll create while in Brazil. ⁣ •⁣ •⁣ TODAY is the last day to order any prints.⁣ I’m officially closing the shop Dec 10th (Monday) and I have no idea of when I’ll be opening again. It could take a few weeks or maybe months due to how complicating shipping out of Brazil can be.
