]]>Inspired by this ancient craft, designer Becky Kemp of Sketch.Inc decided to create Kokeshi dolls modeled after famous artists such as William Shakespeare, Friday Kahlo, and Vincent Van Gogh.
Kemp retained the doll’s features when making her contemporary Kokeshi, including an oversized head, straightforward silhouette, and stylized face. These cute wooden figures are just 6 inches tall, perfect for any setting, from a dollhouse to an office desk.
Kemp also offers custom orders per client’s requests – from superheroes to Star Wars to random designs. Check out her amazing creations below.
