]]> As all fans of Japanese animation will easily recognize, these paintings by Louise Terrier were inspired by Studio Ghibli, the animation company behind movies such as Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro.

The French artist draws her own version of Ghibli characters and they look just as magical as the originals.

“When people ask me: where does that creative energy come from? I would say I don’t know! But it’s just a part of me, like my nose in the middle of my face! Even though my studies take the most part of my time, the pleasure to paint never leaves me,” Terrier shares on her Facebook page.
