Alisa Lariushkina is a polymer clay artist based in Sweden. Her work is inspired by some famous painters like Van Gogh and Monet, but her art is unique and absolutely gorgeous. Lariushkina uses Japanese air-dry clay to create voluminous landscapes.

“I’m a self-taught artist, been working with air-dry polymer clay for about six years in my own technique,” the artist told My Modern Met. “Each piece of clay I form with my hands and then glue the pieces together. I make figures, ornaments basically in animal theme, and also recently I started making framed landscapes.”

Just like the painters use brushstrokes, Lariushkina uses curved and wavy lines of polymer clay to create beautiful art pieces. This helps her create texture and depth and accounts for a stunning visual effect. Some of the artworks are directly inspired by famous paintings while others represent things she sees around her. Lariushkina is great at recreating nature landscapes in her own way, and the minimalistic approach just accentuates their beauty.

Stéphanie Kilgast, an artist from Vannes, France, loves nature. She creates new pieces of art from the discarded objects like tin cans, broken plates, and jars, turning them into nature-inspired artworks.

Kilgast uses polymer clay and hand tools to craft her works. She describes her art as ““an ode to life, where plants and fungi meet insects, animals and minerals. These encounters are growing in a colorful swirl of diversity, and the erratic growth develops on found objects, in a dialogue between humanity and nature.”

She usually documents her artistic process in videos and shared them on her social media accounts. You can check some of her creations below.
