Star Wars is one of the biggest franchises in the world and it seems that the characters and motifs from this popular movie series are everywhere. You can find them on cups, T-shirts, lunch boxes, pens, and thanks to Australian artist Scadarts: now even in classical artworks.

A few months ago, Scadarts posted an illustration of Obi-Wan Kenobi in which he reimagined the Star Wars character as some of the famous historic military generals. The creation quickly drew attention from the fans of the franchise, who responded with an overwhelmingly positive reaction.

After receiving encouraging feedback, Scadarts decided to turn this into a full project and create a series of illustrations that feature Star Wars characters invading classical artworks. This included Baby Yoda replacing Adam in Michelangelo’s “The Creation of Adam” and Jar Jar Binks starring in Edvard Munch’s “The Scream.”

What makes his pieces so beautiful is that he’s showing how art overlaps in a multitude of ways, as well as the idea that everyone interprets movies in their own way. With his art, Scadarts is showing us what Star Wars means to him.

And an Ecuador-based graphic designer and audiovisual producer named Javier Perez is also a Star Wars enthusiast. He decided to create “some artworks in his style”. His creations are minimalistic where he uses ordinary everyday objects and turns them into Star Wars characters, and his fans are loving it!

Sometimes life takes unexpected turns and former teacher Alex Dodson realized this after he researched ideas for upcycled projects for his students. Back in 2015, when researching the project, he came across an LPG cylinder that resembled the Star Wars villain Darth Vader, which gave him the idea to create his own designs.

The 38-year-old teacher decided to quit teaching and turn his passion into his full-time career after his Darth Vader wood burner went viral. “It didn’t look much like Darth Vader, more like an Angry Birds version, but I posted it on Facebook and it went crazy,” he told LADbible.

He decided to set up a workshop in his Dad’s garage and started making Vader Burners. Flash forward four years and he’s the company director and lead designer at Burned By Design, which makes made to order wood burners, fire pits, and barbecues all around the world.

His popularity came after he sent one of his Vader Burners to a client in Australia and the client sent him a slow-motion video of it burning—a video that has since been watched over 22 million times.

Dodson’s products include a Millennium Falcon, Storm Trooper and Death Star wood burners, and an AT-AT barbeque grill which retails for almost $2,000! It’s no wonder he’s had huge success as Star Wars has reached peak fandom.

In addition to Star Wars inspired designs he also creates music, sci-fi, movies, sports, etc designs. Check some of them out below.

Hubert Zitt is a professor at Zweibrücken University of Applied Sciences in Germany. He is widely known for his fascinating lectures on Star Wars, Star Trek and other science fiction.

He saw an opportunity to put his mark in the geekiest way possible. Together with his father-in-law Horst Helle, the master painter Klaus Ruffing, and several helpful students, he transformed the Zweibrück Observatory of the Natural Science Association into a giant replica of R2-D2, a fictional robot character in the Star Wars franchise.

The sci-fi professor completed the Star Wars makeover in September 2018 but people around the world have just started to take notice.

Star Wars actor Mark Hamill recently tweeted about it with caption, “R2-D2 Observatory Transformed Germans Into Giant Nerds.”

Zitt and his team aren’t the first ones to create a Star Wars design. In 2010, Minnesota’s Goodsell Observatory at Carleton College was also transformed into an R2-D2.

“What I believe in is that art is a unique form of self-expression which allows one to talk, communicate and share through actions. I am either dancing with a pencil on the paper or painting with my body on the dance floor,” he wrote on his website.

Ever since he was a kid, he’s always trying to look at ordinary things from a different perspective. Through his artistic illustrations, he makes something new out of these mundane items, proving they can have a completely different meaning.

Recently, he cleverly re-imagines ordinary kitchen tools as Star Wars characters and the result is just amazing. Check out below.
