Her paintings also allow her to give back to nature, and Tanner notes that she’s an active supporter of preserving endangered birds and their habitat. “My goal is for the viewer to connect with the playful, human side of birds,” she told Artsy Shark, “to see into their eyes and realize there is so much more than expected.”
Her artwork might just motivate you to spend more time outdoors. It also acts as a reminder to look upward every once in a while.

]]>Her artwork relies on a bold color palette and clear contrast between her subjects and backgrounds, making it seem as if the animals might pop out of their paintings any moment now.
“First I decide if I’m gonna do a correlated painting series or a single illustration, then the inspiration work comes,” explained Bellido, talking about her artistic process. “I try to find pictures that help me to give shape to my idea, paint a draft (I’m not a big fan of drafts though, only the compositional ones) and then I begin to paint.”
Based in Madrid, her artwork has attracted many admirers, both offline and online, with almost 40k followers on Instagram. Check out some of her work in the gallery below:

The only other challenge is people taking the work so seriously and legit freaking out on me for ‘ripping off van Gogh.’ It’s hilarious to me, especially considering how this all came about. I think decades down the road, this will be a really funny social experiment from start to finish to recount.”
“Maybe by then, it will have come full circle and I can be an old woman who’s self-proclaimed moniker is ‘(not) Mama van Gogh’ or something. I’d be alright with that”- the artist told Bored Panda.

]]>The process seems to be simple but it’s actually tricky because ants move around quickly so she has to record them as quickly as possible. Naicker leaves a small quantity of sugar on a piece of paper to lure the ants into her drawings.
It takes several attempts but after two unsuccessful tries, there’s improvement in her work. She’s still learning so she read more about photography, HD, and observing ants from up close as they are busy with their own sweet lives.
