“General rule of thumb: ALWAYS say yes to pizza… even for breakfast.” — Would you believe that this advice comes from a certified dietitian?

Meet Abbey Sharp, a Registered Dietitian (RD) and the founder of Abbey’s Kitchen Inc. She’s also a YouTube host and appears frequently on TV to share her food expertise. Of course, her aforementioned pizza is a bit different than what you might find in the local pizzeria, but Abbey’s message is simple: Food is to be enjoyed. Health will naturally come from fostering a healthy relationship with what you eat.

“My mission is to empower people to embrace the pleasure of eating, share and celebrate good food, and foster healthy relationships with their bodies and minds,” she said in an interview with P.S. You’re Beautiful. “I hope I demonstrate this in my balanced approach to my blog. I post about crazy food events where I eat burgers on cronut buns, and I post healthy recipes for the crockpot. I want people to fall back in love with food and that experience of eating.”

Being a mother herself, Sharp also touches on health issues that children might have with food. For example, she gives great advice on how to expose your little ones to certain foods in a way that will prevent them from developing food allergies down the way.

And what about diets? “[it] absolutely doesn’t work,” says Sharp. “First of all, I don’t think weight loss should ever be the end goal; health should be the goal. Weight loss, if it happens, should just be a side effect. Second, when someone comes to me with a new diet, I usually ask “can you do this for the rest of your life?” If the answer is no, I suggest you don’t start.

Rachel DeVaux is a 26-year-old registered dietitian and personal trainer from Washington, USA. She has a passion for health and wellness, and her mission is to help others become healthy and in shape.

But Rachel’s love of health doesn’t mean she lives off of lettuce and cucumbers. In fact, Rachel is all about making a healthy lifestyle enjoyable. Rachel believes that the key to achieving a good healthy balance in the long term is building habits that are easy to maintain and incorporate into your daily routine. Cutting out all sugars and carbs is just not sustainable in the long run, and there’s no reason to be miserable when you can eat well and still have fun.

And that’s what Rachel’s IG account is al about. She documents her life, what she eats and her training routine, and makes sure to show how a healthy diet can also include a slice of cake or a cookie, how healthy meals can still be full of tastes and aromas, and how getting into shape can be fun and energizing.

All of that can be easily achieved by anybody and doesn’t require special equipment or ingredients. It’s hard not to get inspired by Rachel’s beautiful message.
