“My mission is to show the world that not only can pies go head-to-head against the poshest wedding cakes and fancy-pants desserts on the most discerning buffet tables of the world, but that they can be fun and easy to pull off too,” Jessica said.

I just had to start with them! That show has so many nods to beloved sci fi/fantasy tropes… I imagine if they ever encountered a pie, it would probably try to eat them. (Summer probably escaped first with a helpful “I’ll avenge your deaths!” as she abandoned them.) PS, this was my first time making toffee flowers and I love them! It was so easy, and they add a delightful little bonus flavour to the bites lucky enough to be adorned with one. Just make sure you use a lot of flour on your cutters and surfaces to keep them from sticking.

Sometimes a pie-dea just pops in your head and you have to drop everything and bake it. That’s pretty much the story behind this Jessica Rabbit pie! I’ve been all about edible bling this week (ever since I discovered painted on maple syrup as the perfect pie sprinkle glue) and when a friend reminded me in a comment of how much I love Who Framed Roger Rabbit (shoutout @bruceboschek!) this design was instantly projected into my brain. Despite the final terrifying scene with Doom pretty much scarring me for life, I loved that movie so much, and I thought Jessica was so glamorous (I was a kid and she had the same name as me, gimme a break

Rapunzel, Moana, and Pocahontas got a fair number of votes too but they never quite made the cut… No one voted for Elsa at all!
