]]>Boswall has been on quite a journey since buying her first gel kit in 2020 out of sheer boredom, but she found the experience of working on her own nails so therapeutic that she couldn’t stop. Once she started creating several looks in a single week, she decided it was time to collect them in one place, and that’s how The Naillologist was born.
Boswall’s favorite part of doing nails is coming up with amazing new ideas for her next manicure, and her creative process involves several steps. She enjoys figuring out the color/theme for her next design and sketching out a few different ideas before painting her nails.
Her strategy seems to be working, and she’s one of Instagram’s top spots for nail art inspiration, with over 270,000 followers under her bet. Surprisingly enough, she’s not even doing nails for other people, because she’s too focused on coming up with amazing new designs to share with her Instagram followers.

]]>Romanie-Jade Tulloch has been in the beauty industry for years, and her social media content really took off when she started working on her signature makeup illusions. It can take anywhere between five and 15 hours in the makeup chair to pull them off, but the final results are always mind-blowing.
Tulloch is a huge believer that makeup is more versatile than most people think because you don’t necessarily have to use makeup to look or feel pretty. Her transformations are a case in point, and positive reactions by hundreds of thousands of followers have inspired her to keep going.
One of the most impressive things about her makeup illusions is that you don’t need any specialized products to pull them off. She uses products from regular beauty brands and usually lists them in her photos and videos.
“I feel like the makeup products I use for my illusions are kind of my unique selling point. Rather than opting for stage makeup or face and body paint, I use the eyeshadows, concealers, eyeliners, and powders that I wear for my usual day-to-day makeup,” she told Space NK.

]]>Dordain is a French hairstyling enthusiast, who’s using the power of social media to share her talent with the world. Her TikTok page became a huge sensation with 1.8 million followers and over 24 million views, but she’s also followed by over 300,000 people on Instagram.
Dordain started her TikTok journey by focusing on simple braided hairstyles, but they’ve gotten more elaborate as the years went by. As her talent for braiding hair kept growing, we’ve seen her make hairstyles that would put Disney princesses to shame, and that seems to be the main idea behind them.
Dordain specializes in hairstyles with a whimsical vibe that looks straight out of fairy tales, and you don’t have to visit a professional hairstylist to give them a shot. If you put enough time and effort into it, you can make these hairstyles from the comfort of your home because her videos offer detailed step-by-step guides. Many of them feature accessories you’ll need to make your hairstyle dreamier, from flower crowns to pearls and rhinestones.

]]>Hirsemann’s love affair with nail art goes years back, but she didn’t think she’d come this far at the start of her journey. She was inspired to give it a shot after watching nail art tutorials on YouTube, but always felt like she’d never be able to reach the same level of perfection as her favorite artists.
As her skills developed over the years, she finally decided to share them with the world, and her leap of faith certainly paid off. She went from working in retail to being one of the most popular German nail artists, with over 240,000 Instagram followers under her belt.
Hirsemann caught our eye with a recent series of manicures inspired by her favorite Bridgerton characters. The first video generated millions of views and perfectly mimicked the delicate patterns of outfits worn by Colin Bridgerton, Penelope Featherington, and Will Mondrich. Its viral success inspired her to make another, which pays homage to Francesca Bridgerton, Tilley Arnold, and Eloise Bridgerton.

]]>Jay often shares her creations on social media and makes sure to give props to insects in her posts. This includes attaching side-by-side photos of her works and bugs that the makeup was based upon.
In an interview with Bored Panda, Jay revealed that she had an interest in insects “for many years” and appreciates their diversity.
“With my makeup, I try to showcase some of the most beautiful species like butterflies or jewel beetles, but also give a little appreciation to those that aren’t as pretty and typically evoke a bad response, like ants or silverfish,” she said.
Jay started doing makeup based on insects just recently and viewed it as a fun side project. But thanks to the overwhelmingly positive response from the internet, she decided to put more time into it.
Her creative process starts by looking up photos of insects on the internet or checking out the recommendations from her friends. She then takes key colors and textures characteristic for each specimen and sees how they could translate to makeup. Some of Jay’s more simple creations take minutes to wrap up, but others, which are more complex, take a few hours.

]]>“In both fields I am working with a client who wants something very specific, and I need to be able to take their ideas and improve on them in a way that both fulfills their requirements and my own artistic vision,” Wiedemann shared in an interview with Female Tattooers. “Usually, the most difficult part of my job in both fields is frequently being asked to draw something that has been done countless times over and try to make it unique.”
Inspiration for both practices comes from anatomical museums around the world. Wiedemann admits she was especially drawn to the centuries-old wooden cabinets that hold life-sized wax anatomical models in La Specola in Florence, Italy.
Her work, whether on paper or skin, has a gothic edge to it, which is well intended. The overall aesthetic might appeal to illustration lovers and emo kids alike. The main themes include insects, skulls, the human body, and mythical beings.
“I am fortunate enough to have two careers that I love, which have ultimately merged together,” says Wiedemann. “I can use tattooing as the medium for my love of scientific imagery. It is such an honor—not only to be taught how to tattoo—but also having the trust of my clients who will wear my art on their bodies for the rest of their lives.”
