]]>With thousands of followers on Instagram, Queso is slowly but surely taking over Petstagram. But his start wasn’t as easy. According to his owner, Sarah McVey, when Queso was a young pup, he lived in an Alabama shelter until there was a flood and he got lost. Thankfully, The Almost Home Foundation brought Queso and other dogs to Chicago to find forever homes.
“We first met at a foster’s home who was watching Queso while he was up for adoption,” recalled McVey in a chat with Swooft. “He had rashes on his belly, kennel cough, and an ear infection, but he was still smiling and happy to see us!”. As it turns out—it was love at first sight.
Making the case for “adopt—don’t shop”, these days, Queso is living it up. A celebrity in the making, he has even strutted on the pink carpet to raise money for One Tail at a Time. “Queso is great at posing (if treats are involved) so it doesn’t take too long to get a good picture,” says his owner. “I like to consider the timing of the post and if there’s a good holiday or trending topic to partake in, but for the most part it’s all about his normal life and activities.”
But McVey still admits it’s hard for her to wrap her head around her pet’s celebrity status. “Queso was recognized at the airport by a stranger and it was the most exciting day ever!” she exclaimed. Show him some love on Instagram:

]]>“Our page displays the daily life of Tydus and our African Grey Congo, Trez, Creating a blog type feel to it through the lens of our animals,” write their owners. The two’s online presence includes more than 160k followers on Instagram and features on websites like 9gag, The Dodo, and Unilad. “We also promote good and healthy animal care in a very informative manner,” write their owners.
Taking of an Alaskan Malamute and a parrot sounds like hard work to us, and the owners admit that Tydus’ coat requires a lot of care as it matts if left unattended for too long. “He has a large stature complimented with a big chest which is often overwhelming for people, not to mention all that fur makes him look bigger,” they say. His parrot friend, on the other hand, is said to be highly intelligent, often telling Tydus to “stop it” and occasionally complimenting him with a “Good Boy Tydus”.
Need we say more or are you already convinced you should follow these two on Instagram?

“Some people think I used a permanent pen to draw his eyebrow or photoshopped his face,” his owner, Charice Fca Cha, told The Dodo. “He’s a very clinging guy. He sticks with me everywhere all the time.”

I need to post paintings and people just wanted to see Bert,” said gallery owner Kathy Grayson in an interview with Bored Panda. “I love when people come to the art gallery to see Bertie or when they bring their dogs to meet Bertie,” she added.
But life wasn’t always easy for this gallery mascot. When he was only 5 months old, Bertram’s dog breeder dumped him at a dog shelter, with the reason being that he was “too big to sell.” That was when Grayson saw him on a pet adoption site and decided to bring him with her to New York.
“Bert is a wonderful guy and makes people happy, the Internet and social media are built for cute animals, people need an antidote to all the nastiness.”

The dog is a black Shiba Inu known as Yuzu. She caused a stir when she went down the aisle and in the end, did an excellent job as ring bearer.
Apparently, this was only made possible by practice. The owners say she repeatedly lost the plot during rehearsals and failed to take the ring to the right place. However, this wasn’t the case during the wedding as she pulled it off nicely.
