Alice Potts is a student at the London’s Royal College of Art who expresses herself by growing crystals on ballet slippers and soccer cleats, among other things. The starting point for her art is sweat, and she believes that we are able to grow our own accessories instead of buying them. The series is called PERSPIRE.
“Every human is unique, and so is the sweat they produce, encapsulating our health, well-being and identity,” Potts says. “In the future, I’m keen to develop the idea and use it to explore sustainable processes within fashion.”
