Bottle caps, cigarette paper, orange peel, candy wraps and similar are considered to be just trash for most people. But for British artist Martha Haversham, they are valuable pieces that can be turned into miniature fashion accessories in her project ‘Trash Couture’.
Haversham collects small pieces of trash that people like to throw around, and then combines it with photo cutouts, creating intriguing collages. In her works, the bottle caps serve as hats, bubble wraps as dresses and tulip leaves as scarfs.
