]]> Living in an apartment complex has its perks, but it also comes with a lot of drawbacks. For example, if you are not living on the top floor, you might have to put up with your upstairs neighbor’s stomping.

Sure, you can ask your upstairs neighbor to keep it down and walk with a bit more finesse, but it is unlikely to help. They will probably forget all about it and just continue with their old ways in no time. Alternatively, you can take inspiration from a recent viral video shared by @dudettewithsign on Instagram.

The video features two roommates who had enough of their upstairs neighbor’s stomping and decided on a creative response. One roommate held the other one upside down, and together, they gave their loud neighbor a taste of their own medicine by stomping on the ceiling.

“We’ve had it with our upstairs neighbor stomping, so we did this, “it says in the video.

The video quickly spread on social media, receiving 268K likes, while a lot of Instagram users were in full support of getting back at the neighbor.

“My level of petty … my neighbors play music all night so I wait 5 minutes after they stop then I start at the same volume,” one person wrote in the comments section.

“I can’t say anything about this, because I’m just as petty,” another added.

]]> A robot built by engineers from Mitsubishi Electric has solved a Rubik’s Cube in just 0.305 seconds, setting a new Guinness World Record. To put things in perspective, it is approximately the same time a human needs to blink once.

Mitsubishi Electric has shared its record-breaking achievement on YouTube, with the video including slow-motion footage to allow viewers to properly see the robot’s solving process.

The previous Guinness World Record for solving a Rubik’s Cube in the least amount of time was held by a robot developed by MIT students. In 2018, this robot solved a Rubik’s Cube in 0.38 seconds.

In a chat with Guinness World Records, Tokui, engineer at Mitsubishi Electric and one of the leads on the project, said that he watched the video of MIT robot solving the puzzle and believed they have a motor that works better and faster.

Mitsubishi Electric’s robot, named TOKUFASTbot, encountered a jammed-up Rubik’s Cube in its first attempt to break the record. But the second attempt went better than expected, as TOKUFASTbot not only broke the record but also bested all of its previous practice times.

“Shaving off time as much as possible was difficult, but it was fun at the same time. I never had issues with motivation through the project,” Tokui told Guinness World Records.

]]> Who wouldn’t like to have a chair shaped like an orange or a melon in their living room? Okay, maybe there are people who wouldn’t, but we definitely would. This is probably why we are such fans of Bonny Carrera’s recent series of chair and sofa designs inspired by fruit and veggies.

Carrera recently took social media by storm with intriguing furniture that is shaped like fruit and veggies. His designs are on point and often done in a variety of different options, making internet users wish they are turned into reality.

According to Carrera, these intriguing designs have been created with the help of an artificial intelligence program Midjourney. They were a result of the artist’s wish to check out a new creative tool and see its capabilities.

“The fruity armchairs are made with AI midjourney,” Carrera shared with DeMilked in a recent chat. “I just played around with this new tool – no big story behind this collection to tell.”

Bonny Carrera is a 3D artist based in Berlin, Germany. He has several other interesting collaborations with AI, including chairs inspired by eggs, fashion designs based on food, and tables in organic forms.

]]> Often times, the internet is littered with hashtags that have no significant impact on the quality of life lived by humans, but #TrashTag is quite different.

In the last few days, #TrashTag was adopted by a lot of young people. It is an inspiring hashtag that motivates young people to create pictures of a dirty environment before and after they clean it and the turnout has been shocking. Young people all over the world took up the challenge, bought boxes and garbage bags, and posted photos of themselves cleaning up their local parks, beaches, and wilderness areas. This is amazing!

The trend, which started on March 5, was made popular by Facebook user Byron Román who shared a photo of himself issuing a challenge to “bored teens” asking them to “Take a photo of an area that needs some cleaning or maintenance, then take a photo after you have done something about it, and post it.” And the rest was history!

In less than 24 hours, Will Smith posted another video showing Verbal Ase beat boxing with a stronger caption “ Okay… I’m obsessed! I had to post Back to Back. @verbalase.”
