“I pick a topic that interests me, then I try to look at it from different angles and after I pick one that makes me laugh the most I start a sketch phase,” Tamosiunas shared in a recent chat with Bored Panda.
Tamosiunas puts a lot of time and effort into his comics to make them look as great and be as funny as they are. The artist sometimes spends up to 10 hours in order to make a single comic. ]]>HipDict is a hilarious crowdsourced dictionary that gives new meanings to everyday words, phrases, and expressions. Users get to submit their own words and meanings, and if they get accepted by a panel of mysterious internet users, they officially become part of the dictionary.
Submissions are open to everyone, so you can give it a shot if you have an intriguing definition for a particular word. All you need to do is fill out this form.
Think of HipDict not as a dictionary that gives definitions of the words but rather the descriptions of their meaning in the real world. Take “Yup” as an example. This should indicate that you agree with another person’s statement. However, the word’s true meaning is agreeing with the sole purpose of ending the conversation as soon as possible.
HipDict originated on Instagram, where it has close to three million followers. New words are being added on a daily basis, with the current count being around 4,000. Check out some of our favorites below.
