]]>After graduating from ESAG Penninghen, Académie Julian in Paris in 2009 with a master’s degree in Art Direction and Graphic Design, de Quénetain has co-founded a graphic design studio, attracting brands and designers alike. Her collaborations include brands as big and as influential as Chanel, Hermes, Goop, Louboutin, and Estée Lauder.
Born and raised in Paris, de Quénetain was very much inspired by her mother, a fashion designer herself. “I always saw her drawing fashion figures in her studio, listening to music,” she told Global Blue. “I thought it was a very cool way to work and I planned to do the same at a very young age.”
Nowadays, she finds inspiration elsewhere, while traveling around the globe and visiting fashion capitals like London, Paris, New York, Helsinki, and Copenhagen. Take a look at some of her careful observations.

]]>Originally from Kyoto, Japan, Kawajiri has been doing nails for more than 15 years. According to her, the biggest difference between Japanese and American nail art is that Japanese designs are “more abstract,” whereas her American clients “love to have a theme.” “Even 10 years ago, [Japan was] doing what we are doing in New York: big stones, crazy charms,” she told WWD. “Young girls save money for their nails instead of eating a lot of food. They wanna be skinny and they wanna have cool nail art.”
Not known for her minimalist approach, Kawajiri’s nail art is all about the drama. “I love drama,” she stressed. And while the nail community is overflowing with ideas at the moment, she admits she tries to keep to herself, when it comes to her inspiration. “As long as I don’t copy or I don’t watch other people’s Instagram, I’m good,” she said. “I don’t watch nail Instagrams at all. If you see [something] one time, you have the idea already on the inside of your head. I don’t wanna be like that. I wanna be always original and new.”

]]>A global beauty director for Estée Lauder since 2017, the self-taught makeup artist came to New-York at the age of 19 with big dreams in her heart and little money in her pocket. She studied art and fashion before launching her YouTube channel, where she shared her love for makeup.
“I always hesitated between becoming a painter or a fashion designer, but neither excited me enough,” Violette said in an interview with Inside Out magazine. “And then all became so evident when one night, completely by accident, I had to do a friend’s make up for a costume party. I put sparkles all over her face and it came to me: she was my muse. I was ‘dressing’ and painting her face.”
She currently reaches out to her big audience through her YouTube channel, as well as her Instagram page, where she inspires women and in turn is inspired by women. “Today, all women are my muses, not some sort of blank canvas,” she stressed. “I am celebrating all women and their femininity.”
Take a look at some of her makeup looks.

]]>“At Premme, we think that clothing should be about expressing your personality and having fun, not feeling limited by society’s current fashion rules,” reads their website.
Indeed, their brand is anything but boring, experimenting with bold prints and playful designs. “The Premme aesthetic is feminine, bold, and unapologetic,” said the fashion duo in an interview with Create & Cultivate.
“We’ve both been leaders in the plus-size community for almost a decade and have very similar career trajectories; we’ve both been fashion editors, influencers, designers, and brand consultants, and we saw similar issues with the status quo,” they explained.
“We’re both passionate about social justice and equality, and we’ve chosen to pursue a creative career that affects change: giving plus-size women access to designs and styles they’ve been told (either directly or through what’s currently available for them to shop) that they shouldn’t wear.”
