Marine de Quénetain Observes the Fashion World

Marine de Quénetain’s illustrations distill the very essence of fashion. Covering a wide range of styles and disciplines, from illustration to pattern design, and posters to book covers, her subjects tend to center around the beauty and fashion industry.

After graduating from ESAG Penninghen, Académie Julian in Paris in 2009 with a master’s degree in Art Direction and Graphic Design, de Quénetain has co-founded a graphic design studio, attracting brands and designers alike. Her collaborations include brands as big and as influential as Chanel, Hermes, Goop, Louboutin, and Estée Lauder.

Born and raised in Paris, de Quénetain was very much inspired by her mother, a fashion designer herself. “I always saw her drawing fashion figures in her studio, listening to music,” she told Global Blue. “I thought it was a very cool way to work and I planned to do the same at a very young age.”

Nowadays, she finds inspiration elsewhere, while traveling around the globe and visiting fashion capitals like London, Paris, New York, Helsinki, and Copenhagen. Take a look at some of her careful observations.
