Fashion designer Cory Infinite makes fashion pieces that you have probably never seen before. This is because he uses the most unexpected materials for his creations.

Infinite makes clothes using materials that you wouldn’t think could ever become clothes, including coins, keyboard keys, and spoons. Each piece is handmade by Infinite and can be worn or admired as a piece of art.

“All my pieces are handmade 1 of 1 art pieces, you can buy them to wear, or you can hang them on your wall,” says Infinite on his official website.

According to Infinite, he became interested in fashion design while looking for a pastime activity during the coronavirus pandemic. He started making clothes for himself, and his pieces quickly caught the attention of his friends, who wanted something similar.

Infinite continued to explore his interest in fashion while making his creations more daring over time. This led to creations like pants made out of 7,000 pennies, gloves covered in keys, and a jacket that consists entirely of spoons and weighs 41 pounds.

Infinite frequently documents his creative process and shares finished pieces on social media. You can check out more of his creations by scrolling below.

Most children dream about becoming astronauts, actors, or musicians. But 7-year-old Max Alexander doesn’t want any of this; he wants to become the next great fashion designer and currently seems on a great way to actually do it.

Alexander started making his first dress designs and clothes when he was four. Since then, he has established himself as the fashion’s newest rising star. He is selling his pieces all over the world while even receiving commissions from celebrities.

Thanks to his great skills, Alexander also got himself a huge social media following. He has 1.5 million followers on Instagram, where his mother Sherri Madison shares his newest creations.

In a recent chat with PEOPLE, Madison revealed that neither she nor any member of the family had a role in Max’s choice; the boy simply said that he wanted to be a dressmaker one day and started doing it.

“He just started making dresses, it was the craziest thing,” she told the media outlet. “I ran and got my husband. I was like, ‘Come out of your office, you have to see what Max is doing. It’s crazy.’ “

Despite already having more than 100 original designs and putting together several fashion shows, Max has much bigger goals for himself.

“He wants to be the head of the house of Gucci or he wants to have his own atelier, Couture to the Max Italian,” Madison added.

It all started with a simple, but powerful, idea: to make other people happy. Having moved from Iran to Sweden at only 23 years of age, Naim Josefi was determined to study medicine, but working as a help nurse was enough to make him change direction completely.

“I saw too much suffering, I wanted to make people happy instead,” he relayed in an interview with Fashion Stories.

That change came through fashion. Based in Stockholm, Josefi’s fashion label is all about having a good time, with his designs both quirky and original. But though his brand is based around this simple idea, his designs are anything but simplistic. “I approach designing clothes very scientifically,” he notes.

Striving for innovation, his brand created the first 3D printed shoe in the world. In 2015, they also started to use a laser technique as treatment of their jeans to lower the use of chemicals and water. Now, their goal is to be 100% sustainable.

With an eye for fashion-forward design and sophisticated tailoring, combined with high technology and innovation, Josefi’s work hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2011, he won the first installment of Project Runway in Sweden, and he has received several prestigious awards since.

Award-winning womenswear and print designer Louise Körner is known for her minimalist approach to fashion with her designs having a nordic sensibility but with an added, grungy, twist. The founder and creative director behind her ready-to-wear label, Körner is also experienced in costume design and bridalwear.

“It is such a satisfaction when you are creating a new collection, especially when it falls perfectly on the body or when the prints come out beautifully,” gushed Körner in an interview with The Smoke Detector. “When you love what you are doing it doesn’t feel like work and you can work late nights with no problem.”

Still, she notes that the fashion industry, being as tough and as crowded as it is, requires a certain mindset. “It is a lot of pressure (especially starting your own company) and it’s an intense schedule during the whole year,” she says. “That’s why it’s important to find balance.”

Incidentally, balance is also key when it comes to her approach to design. Aiming to create that carefully balanced mixture of powerful grunginess and nordic minimalism, Körner’s inspiration comes from both conceptual themes and architectural perspectives. It’s little wonder that the industry is taking note.
