]]>“It’s important to me that a project consist of just a little twist,” Errazuriz said, “because I ultimately want people to see the obvious, the everyday differently.”
His work has been exhibited alongside the most prominent designers and architects and has been featured in various magazine covers and mainstream TV in CNN, BBC, ABC, and NY1.
“We tend to understand reality by constraining meaning into closed and simplified boxes defined by previous cultural conventions,” he said in a press release for his current solo exhibition Breaking the Box at R & Company in New York City.
“We live within these pre-established cognitive borders, where we only tend to see, recognize, and accept as true that which has been previously ordered and defined,” he added.

We started off with simple recipes based on the produce in season,” Olivier wrote on her website. “I added pinches of spices and herbs to enhance the natural flavors of the produce: apples with cinnamon, sweet potatoes with rosemary and carrots with nutmeg.”
Soon after, it became her mission to share with other parents who also wished to raise their kids based on fresh foods. She started a blog about creating and experimenting recipes and called her online site “Baby FoodE,” short for “Baby Food for Ellie.”
Today, there are lots of parents who want to contribute to her blog and her Instagram account has gained over 31k followers.

]]>According to It’s Nice That, Newton describes his drawing style as “Saturday morning cartoons at night.” As for the duck obsession, Newton said that it was primarily based on intuition and observation. “I was looking for something to channel my energy into evolving, and when the ducks started coming out in my sketchbook, I felt something in them that urged me along,” the artist told the publication.
“When I would post drawings of the ducks, people would respond to them more than everything else. I found that inspiration came to me more quickly through the ducks – I could envision the world they inhabited and they had a sort of voice about them that allowed me to see how they could grow and interact within this environment I was perceiving.”
Newton admits that he might be making ducks for a very long time. “I’ve granted a lot of flexibility in their world and my approach to it as a means of keeping it interesting, so that I may never become seemingly ungrateful for them.”

Instead of buying his clothes, Pinsent creates his own outfits with some of his creations taking up to a year to complete.
He’s known for wearing a top hat and cane when he’s out shopping in Brighton but during ordinary days, he’ll wear a pair of knee-high leather riding boots, a floral waistcoat, and a matching riding jacket with long tails.
Pinsent’s unique vintage style is often complimented by people not just from his hometown but from people everywhere including his 248k followers on Instagram. “The response is almost always completely positive, and genuinely lovely. And it isn’t just a Brighton thing, I’ve been all over the world and people are inquisitive and appreciative.”

]]>Stark’s hypnotic works often resemble organic, molecular, or cloud-like structures. The vibrant colors are inspired by nature; “the attractant/repellent properties of flowers encouraging pollination or insects warning birds of their poisonous traits, and the luminous mystery of phosphorescent sea creatures.”
In her latest solo exhibition, titled Dimensionality, Stark accentuates the dimensions of her work by transforming 2D objects into 3D ones. Squared, a wall art piece by Stark is composed of thirty-five square sheets of powder-coated aluminum. Each sheet has a different color with a concentric square fold that pops outside the frame.
Her other piece called Ethereal Vortex features generative projection animations using Lightform, a device that projects augmented reality. The waves strobe and pulsate, creating an illusion of something motionless coming to life.
The show runs through July 19, 2019 at Joshua Liner Gallery in New York City.

Kennedy is not particularly interested in masks. “for me, it’s basically about the materials and how to organize them in a small area so that in the end, they communicate something. I’m really more interested in decorating a space more than a body or a face.”
She started with making masks for a party and it grew gradually. She uses sequins, antique clothing, and found objects to create exquisite headpieces and masks.
In addition to her decorative masks, Kennedy also sells a small collection of jewelry inspired by nature.

]]>On the World Flags website, the artists reimagined the participating countries as cool anime characters who are ready to go into battle. Each character and their costume are designed using the country’s flag, culture, and history, incorporated into Japanese traditional samurai clothes.
“We feel so much respect for all of the countries around the world. They and their symbols (flags) are very important to us,” the artists told Bored Panda. “We know we can’t treat any of them in a way that would disrespect them and that’s what we’re constantly trying to do.”
“We started this project after recognizing the diversity between all of the people in the world. Also, we believe that illustration is the perfect tool to highlight this. Our motto is ‘The whole world is cool!'”
They clarified that the World Flags is not part of the Olympics. They just wanted to contribute as artists because they believed that anime can do wonders when it comes to “celebrating the bond between the Japanese culture and the rest of the world and acknowledging their differences.”

]]>“I try to make the everyday world that surrounds us momentarily extraordinary, weaving fantasy into familiarity. My work attempts to playfully challenge perceptions of possibility, refusing to let physics get in the way of imagination,” the artist told Bored Panda. “I found it liberating to leave art school because my work discovered a freedom and confidence to roam across different disciplines. Architecture, engineering, construction and theatre design all feature in my practice and it is through collaboration with hundreds of practitioners across these fields that my ambitions become reality.”
Recently, Chinneck has unveiled an installation of an old building in Milan, “unzipping” the façade of the structure with a giant zipper, and reimagining what lies behind its walls. The project, Spazio Quattrocento, was part of the city’s design week festivities which ended last April.
