Sebastian Errazuriz is a talented artist and designer from New York, best known for his innovative creations on different fields and disciplines. From huge art projects to political artworks, product design to experimental furniture, his works provoke the viewers to take a closer look at the realities that were often hidden in front of their own eyes.
“It’s important to me that a project consist of just a little twist,” Errazuriz said, “because I ultimately want people to see the obvious, the everyday differently.”
His work has been exhibited alongside the most prominent designers and architects and has been featured in various magazine covers and mainstream TV in CNN, BBC, ABC, and NY1.
“We tend to understand reality by constraining meaning into closed and simplified boxes defined by previous cultural conventions,” he said in a press release for his current solo exhibition Breaking the Box at R & Company in New York City.
“We live within these pre-established cognitive borders, where we only tend to see, recognize, and accept as true that which has been previously ordered and defined,” he added.
