Maxim and Diana of Maple Fox Wood is a Russian artistic duo who creates unique jewelry pieces inspired by video games including Warhammer, Dota 2, and The Witcher 3. To create their pendants, rings, figurines, and night lights, the couple uses wood, horns, mother of pearl, and epoxy resin.

“Diana is an artist and painter, so her main activity in the workshop is precisely artistic. She generates and draws sketches for future artwork, participates in the creation of complex compositions,” they wrote on Bored Panda. Maxim’s work is mostly focused on resin casting, they added, shaping future products, grinding, polishing, and manufacturing of all wooden parts and decorations.

New York City-based artist Zach Lieberman sort of stumbled into his latest project, which mixes illustration and coding. “My step-daughter was having trouble falling asleep by herself at the time and so I would hang out in her room, read some books and then as she tried to sleep, I’d code a sketch and in the morning show it to her,” he shared with Medium. “I was happy to show her that art-making is daily work and small discoveries.”

But what began as a way of passing the time – a cool experiment shared between a father and his daughter – blew up, when he posted his unique artwork on Instagram. Now he creates primarily with code, focusing on building experimental drawing and animation tools. “My main focus is how computation can be used as a medium for poetry,” he says.

In his sketches, Lieberman tries different visual ideas involving geometry, animation, gesture, and graphic form. “I had no idea what to expect but it felt like a good new years resolution and a nice way to experiment with some ideas I had been thinking about,” he says.

“The sketches are the opposite of work to me, so I try to be totally un-work like,” he explains. “I don’t use GitHub, I don’t keep code clean, I just make and record without thinking very carefully about anything. I sketch up until the point I think it’s interesting, record it, post it and clock out. It’s the opposite of how I approach commercial work. When I sketch I want to work as messy and mindlessly as possible — I don’t plan, I just see where the wind blows.”

Dan Tanenbaum is an artist from Toronto who has found a way to turn time into art. Okay, not literally, but let’s just say that this guy can use what you call trash and turn it into real pieces of art. He makes motorcycles. Tiny motorcycles from old watch parts!

Tanenbaum is a watch collector himself and he got this passion from his parents who collected antiques their whole lives. Now, he, his wife and their three children visit antique shows as often as possible, as Dan hopes he will find that perfect old watch he could turn into a shiny little motorcycle later on.

He first thought of this idea when his watch dealer showed him a bag full of old watch parts which he introduced as “trash”. Of course, Dan saw that bag as an opportunity to create something magnificent. Even though he has never ridden a motorcycle in his life, he enjoys making these remarkable models! He is not alone in this though, as Dan has gathered a community on social media, bigger gearheads than he is, to help him with the technical details such as exhaust positioning or where the valves should be placed.

Anyway, all you need to do now is check out this amazing artist below!

Steffen Kraft is the name behind an artistic pseudonym Iconeo. This guy refers to himself an “artivist” which refers to him being an activist on some currently burning topics through his art. With a history of working in advertising, today he is a socially engaged artist making social commentary pictures that illustrate the irony and hypocrisy of our world.

Kraft says he draws inspiration from both small and large things. It could be simple things, like his drawing pencil or a cup of coffee, and he uses them as icons on his works. Things we’re all familiar with, so he uses them to send a message. Sometimes he draws his inspiration from bigger things like climate change or social behavior.

His images often emphasize the fact that our planet doesn’t have much time left or how irrational are social inequalities. Kraft thinks that in modern times, people lose the ability to self-reflect because they are overwhelmed with images and information. That’s why he produces images that are easy to comprehend, but they surprise the viewers with simple ideas which should make them think and question things.

Here are some of his works we found the most engaging:

The video below shows a couple of fun science experiments you can try out at home with everyday materials. In one experiment, a cup made of styrofoam disappears in a small bowl when it is pressed down. This is because the liquid poured into this bowl contains a chemical compound called Acetone. Acetone releases air from styrofoam, thereby dissolving the cup.

In another video, a mixture of soda, salt, and sugar was lit with fire and produced what appears like a black solid. In yet another experiment a waterballoon remains intact despite being held up on a flame. The reason is that water absorbs heat, and so the heat that could have destroyed the balloon was absorbed by the water while the balloon remained intact.

There are a few other experiments in this video, but if you try them make sure you carry them out in a safe environment and don’t take any risks.

Have you carried something fragile in your car, and had to take it through a bumpy offroad?

There is a solution to this problem, a new invention by Clear Motion called the advanced car suspension system. This new invention navigates obstacles by sensing them before they occur and the car adjusts to the obstacles before the tires get a chance to react and hit them. This makes for a much more enjoyable smoother ride.

There are many advantages associated with this system, but perhaps the most important is that the lifespan of your car will increase.

The video below shows the difference in motion between a “normal” car and a car with this new suspension.

Check it out. It’s pretty awesome!

According to designyoutrust, the artist wanted “to commemorate this sad and tragic period in history, in my own way, to light on this parts of history that usually remain in the shadows of other events…remember and honor the history, but live in the present. The video below shows a couple of fun science experiments you can try out at home with everyday materials. In one experiment, a cup made of styrofoam disappears in a small bowl when it is pressed down. This is because the liquid poured into this bowl contains a chemical compound called Acetone. In another video, a mixture of soda, salt, and sugar was lit with fire and produced what appears like a black solid. In yet another experiment a waterballoon remains intact despite being held up on a flame.

Przemek Podolski and Marta Basandowska is an artistic duo from Krakow, Poland who create 3D string installations inspired by space. Their assumption is to receive art in a new dimension.

“String Art Installations are tens of thousands of straight lines intersecting in space creating a three-dimensional object,” Przemek Podolski shared on Bored Panda. “Multiplication of their composition evokes the impression of extended reality. The ‘decode the code’ project is a bridge that combines mapping technology with a futuristic form of sculpture. Jakub Rozalski is a Poland-based artist who likes to mix historical facts and situations with his own motives, ideas, and visions. Also known as Mr. Werewolf, Rozalski mixed various iconographies, the imagery of peasant life in Eastern Europe, with the imagery of science fiction, the imagery of modern warfare, etc.

According to designyoutrust, the artist wanted “to commemorate this sad and tragic period in history, in my own way, to light on this parts of history that usually remain in the shadows of other events…remember and honor the history, but live in the present. I attach great importance to the details, the equipment, the costumes because it allows you to embed painting within a specified period of time.”
