Dan Tanenbaum Turns Time Into Art

Dan Tanenbaum is an artist from Toronto who has found a way to turn time into art. Okay, not literally, but let’s just say that this guy can use what you call trash and turn it into real pieces of art. He makes motorcycles. Tiny motorcycles from old watch parts!

Tanenbaum is a watch collector himself and he got this passion from his parents who collected antiques their whole lives. Now, he, his wife and their three children visit antique shows as often as possible, as Dan hopes he will find that perfect old watch he could turn into a shiny little motorcycle later on.

He first thought of this idea when his watch dealer showed him a bag full of old watch parts which he introduced as “trash”. Of course, Dan saw that bag as an opportunity to create something magnificent. Even though he has never ridden a motorcycle in his life, he enjoys making these remarkable models! He is not alone in this though, as Dan has gathered a community on social media, bigger gearheads than he is, to help him with the technical details such as exhaust positioning or where the valves should be placed.

Anyway, all you need to do now is check out this amazing artist below!
