UK based illustrator and designer, Poppy Almond, is inspired by everyday objects and environments, creating anything from uplifting greeting cards to friendship bracelets that are a childhood fantasy. “I basically just draw things I like or that are around me and hope others enjoy them too,” she told Ohh Deer.
“My favorite thing to illustrate is probably food. I kind of have an obsession with doodling sushi and strawberries (don’t ask me why),” she says. “I literally get my inspiration from everywhere! but mainly from things around me, food I’m eating, things I’ve heard that day or the contents of my shelves. Of course other amazing illustrators, things I’ve come across on Instagram and all the girl bosses around me give me so much inspiration.”
A girl boss in her own right, she sells her merch on her online Etsy shop, which we highly recommend you visit. With a background in printed textiles and surface pattern design, her work is varied, fresh, and ever exciting.
