]]>Still, there is one minor issue with Disney cartoons. They are mainly “feel-good” oriented and don’t have enough edge to them for Disney fans who also enjoy horrors.
Well, thanks to New York City-based “maker of cartoons, art, and obscure 80’s references” Mike Chiechi, also known as Frank’s Kid, that has now changed.
Being an avid fan of cartoons as well as the horror genre since early childhood, Chiechi recently came up with the idea to combine these two. He started recreating scenes from classical Mickey Mouse cartoons and adding iconic horror movie characters like Leatherface, Ash Williams, and Freddy Kruger to them.
While this might seem like an odd mix, the mash up actually works really well. You will have a whole new look at Mickey Mouse while also wondering why Disney isn’t producing horror cartoons already.

Cruel I know. See you in Chicago. #amnpopupchicagoShawn Cross describes himself as a dark art artist from Ohio who has been working as an artist professionally for almost a decade. Shawn Cross is better known as the creator of the widely popular webcomics series Cyanide & Happiness. He is also the co-owner and the artist of his lifestyle brand, Any Means Necessary clothing.
“Though I’ve been known for my association with Cyanide & Happiness, in 2016 I created the mental health series, Inktober Illness, as part of the annual Inktober series which completely altered my art direction to focus more on artwork that helps create a conversation on mental health,” the artist shared on his personal website. “My art has been all over the internet and bodies of many fans and it’s still spreading.”
In one of his latest project, the artist reimagined Disney villains as the scarier version of themselves.
“Everyone roots for the good guys, never enough love for the baddies,” Cross shared on Bored Panda. “I wanted to put a little creepier spin on some classic villains and continue to scare my daughters into hopefully never making me watch another Disney film again.”

]]>Melody is a “Party Princess” – every weekend she goes to kid’s birthday parties dressed up as their favorite Disney character to play, sing, and dance with them. She goes to about three parties each weekend, meets 80 kids and takes about 200 photos!
In an interview with Allure Magazine, melody said that the best part about being a Disney Princess is bringing the magic to life for all the boys and girls. That’s why she has an incredibly demanding routine when she prepares for her shows. She gets up at 7:30 to put on her makeup, wig, and dress, and after hours of preparation, she drives up to the party, in her huge dress, to meet the kids.
When the first party is done, she runs back to her car and drives to the next party.
As hard is it may sound, Melody says she loves her jobs. She gets to act, dress up, and make children happy – as a job! So far melody has played Rapunzel, Belle, Maleficent, Cinderella, Snow White, and Ariel, to name a few. But the most popular Disney character is, of course, Elsa.

]]>And, majestic and powerful as the image of a lion can be, the adorable balls of fluff that are their offspring are anything but.
Baby lions are just plain adorable, is what we’re trying to say here.
Bahati, however, is special. Because, she is so adorable and fitting of becoming the king of the jungle that she was actually used as the base model for the younger, cub version of Simba in the live-action remake of Disney’s 1994 classic animated film, The Lion King.
As you might expect, Bahati, who is currently under the care of the Dallas Zoo, is every bit as cute and adorable in real life as Simba is in the live-action remake.

]]>Doubters, in particular, are picking on the movie’s art direction, saying that Disney should have opted for something more similar to the original’s art as opposed to the more realistic look they opted for.
This is especially true after one artist gave his take on what the movie’s characters would have looked like had Disney done that.

Nikolay Mochkin, otherwise known as ellejart, decided to recreate the Lion King remake’s characters to look less like their realistic selves and more like their animated versions.
The results? Nostalgia-invoking artwork that definitely would have silenced the film’s many critics.
While we have no way of telling if going with a similar art direction would have made the Lion King remake more successful or just as successful, what we do know is that Disney knows enough about what they’re doing, not to doubt them.
Still, you can’t really help but wonder what could’ve been.

“It’s pretty awesome seeing how many people choose to see my art and follow it. I share what I like and move along,” the artist said.
“I create for myself and no one else, and if people like what I do and want to support me, that’s an added plus. I definitely think social media has changed the makeup industry. It’s amazing seeing all the talent on my feed,” Richard told The Daily Mail.
