Most girls grow up wishing they were a Disney princess. Melody Ricketts doesn’t have to wish for it – she is a Disney princess.
Melody is a “Party Princess” – every weekend she goes to kid’s birthday parties dressed up as their favorite Disney character to play, sing, and dance with them. She goes to about three parties each weekend, meets 80 kids and takes about 200 photos!
In an interview with Allure Magazine, melody said that the best part about being a Disney Princess is bringing the magic to life for all the boys and girls. That’s why she has an incredibly demanding routine when she prepares for her shows. She gets up at 7:30 to put on her makeup, wig, and dress, and after hours of preparation, she drives up to the party, in her huge dress, to meet the kids.
When the first party is done, she runs back to her car and drives to the next party.
As hard is it may sound, Melody says she loves her jobs. She gets to act, dress up, and make children happy – as a job! So far melody has played Rapunzel, Belle, Maleficent, Cinderella, Snow White, and Ariel, to name a few. But the most popular Disney character is, of course, Elsa.
