]]>A seasoned traveler and Instagram influencer, it’s Karafin’s candid approach to both life and travel that makes her content worth following.
Treating traveling not only as “time off” but also as a self-development tool, Karafin’s posts and accompanying photos provide insight into other cultures and people, and how she treats the world around her with affection and care.
A cancer survivor, Karafin also leads various philanthropic initiatives to help children in underserved communities, and runs a charity for underprivileged kids with cancer.
“Traveling alone takes resilience and an open mind,” she writes on her website. “It takes courage and stepping out of your comfort zone.” But although challenging, Karafin hopes to show others how experiencing other cultures is worthwhile and ultimately life changing.
“I’m so grateful for this life that I get to call my own,” she writes. “What a blessing to be alive.”
Through her posts, she encourages others to have an open heart and mind when it comes to traveling. “You’d be shocked to discover how different your surroundings are when you see them through your own lenses without anyone else’s two cents,” she wrote in one post.
This is exactly the kind of uplifting content we want in our feed!

]]>Travel bloggers know this more than anyone. The last year had seen a steady drop in international travel and tourism, and the tourism economy at large has been heavily hit by the coronavirus.
Travel influencer Brooke Saward has shaped her career around travel. The face behind World of Wanderlust, Saward documents her adventures on her personal website and accompanying social media pages, with a staggering half a million followers on Instagram alone.
With over 70 countries under her belt, Saward has a lot of experience when it comes to solo travel. “I travel by myself 90% of the time, yet am sometimes joined by family, friends, and even readers,” she explains on her website.
Her goal is to inspire other women to take a leap of faith and do some solo traveling of their own. “The next question is more often than not ‘don’t you get scared traveling alone!?’ and the answer is an overwhelming no!” Saward declares.
“I often write about how hard it can be at times, but I really do love traveling solo as an experience and think it is something we should all experience at some stage in our lives.”
But like most travel influencers, the past year has seen Saward slow down and stay put. Her stunning photos will inspire you to look for beauty in the far corners of the world—at least when traveling is possible.

]]>The author of the award-winning travel blog “Oneika the Traveller,” these days Raymond is a media personality, journalist, and keynote speaker, with over 115 countries under her belt. Her adventures include having bungee jumped over the Zambezi River, fished for piranhas in the Amazon, and climbed active volcanoes in Guatemala and Ecuador.
According to Raymond, she began traveling fairly late in the game, during her studies in university. “Eventually I realized it was travel that was really feeding me,” she recalls. “It wasn’t necessarily the idea of being away from home, but the idea of discovering, of learning something new every day, of stretching my boundaries and living outside of my comfort zone—that’s what I really enjoyed.”
And while traveling has been largely restricted due to Covid, Raymond’s posts include tips and tricks that will help guide you through these testing times. “It’s a strange time,” she admitted in a recent post. “Protocols and procedures vary wildly by destination and change frequently/rapidly. Be sure to check local, state, and federal public health websites before you travel for up to date information to avoid disappointment or getting caught off guard.”
Her positive outlook on life and bubbly personality to match will help brighten up your feed:

]]>The self proclaimed “international badasses” practice what they preach, having set out to create a travel space that’s tailored to young travelers. This idea came to them after noticing that a lot of their friends wanted to travel but really just didn’t know how—or were too busy or too scared.
“We started making videos mainly because we found it was fun,” they admitted in an interview with CelebMix. “Nobody really watched them at first besides our friends and family (who we would force to watch), but we enjoyed watching everything we squeezed into our trips—cool, cheap, or free places to go that we thought people should know about. We didn’t see anything like it on television or on YouTube, and that’s when the journey began.”
Through a let of trial and error and some hard work, they slowly build up their audience to where it is today, cultivating a community of nearly 2M+ in total social media subscribers. They might just inspire you to shut up and go.

]]>A seasoned traveler, Cole is known for his entertaining travel content that has an added layer of education and provides a teaching tool for sustainable travel and community-oriented living. But with a moniker like FunForLouis, fun, and more importantly, passion is a core element to what he does.
These days, alongside his online platform, Cole teaches other influencers how to turn their passion into a booming business. His number one tip? Come from a place of being passionate about capturing and sharing moments and “not straight from this mentality that [you] want to make money or jump straight into having Instagram as a revenue generator or a business.”
“That’s an added bonus if you can get to that stage,” he noted in an interview with Entrepreneur where he talked about his business model, “but if that’s your initial goal, it could be quite tricky especially if you’re not enjoying what you’re doing. I think the audience can really notice that as well.”
Some of his more recent projects also include running The Social Good Club, striving to create a community designed to empower others to effect positive change around the challenges we face as a global society. We’re all for it.

]]>Recently, we’ve taken to Instagram influencers and wife-and-husband traveling duo, Victoria and Steve from Bridges and Balloons. Their online platform offers curated lifestyle and travel content that is well suited for pickier travelers like ourselves, who seek beauty and uniquness.
Favoring a local style of travel, the brand isn’t dedicated to the “must-sees”, but rather offers a way of travel that aims at soaking up the atmosphere and experiencing local life. “We favor independents over chains,” explain the couple on their website, “and while we’re vegetarian, we tend to eat in restaurants that are known to be good for all food rather than just veggie stuff”.
Offering handpicked, unique itineraries, they seek places that have a story behind them, and prioritize the experience over the price, featuring both budget and luxury styles of travel. And traveling with two young children, they also offer some tips and tricks to road tripping with babies.
They’re just the kind of well rounded source of inspiration we need when planning our next close-to-home vacation.
