]]>In the clip, a man named Dylan can be seen sharing an unexpected discovery in a closet his family has been using as a pantry. He explains that he discovered a drawer in the closet the night prior and that he is unsure whether to check it out because his wife told him “to leave it alone”.
The video ended up getting more than 14 million views, with TikTok users recommending that Dylan not investigate further.
“Idk I think your wife is onto something. This sounds like the beginning of every scary movie,” one user wrote.
“Nah leave it alone,” another added.
But despite the warning from his wife and the internet, Dylan still decided to check out the contents of the drawer. As it turned out, there was nothing sinister in it.
Dylan later uploaded a follow-up video that showed that the drawer had a shoe-shining kit inside. The previous owners probably used the space as a shoe or coat closet and found a great way to keep the shining kit out of sight.

]]>Last week, @katherout shared a video on her TikTok that detailed her attempt to uncover a “little mystery” happening in her gym. According to TikToker, there is a whiteboard in her gym that allows gymgoers to write messages on topics provided by the gym staff. They range from favorite songs to questions like “If you were a potato, how would you be prepared?”
Going through answers on the whiteboard, @katherout noticed that someone was always writing the word “MONKE” no matter what the topic was.
“This is very amusing to me because I’m very attracted to commitment to the bit,” she explained in the video.
The TikToker then decided to embark on a mission to discover the identity of the “MONKE” person. She tried to get the individual to reveal themselves via whiteboard message and even left a note with her number on the gym’s front desk.
While she still didn’t solve the mystery, @katherout managed to amuse the internet with her quest. The original video was viewed by more than 16 million people and attracted thousands of comments, including one from John Green, writer of novels Looking for Alaska and The Fault is in Our Stars.
“This is a great American drama. I am highly invested,” wrote Green via his TikTok profile @literallyjohngreen and encouraged @katherout to keep on with her quest.
Since then, @katherout issued a second update on the mystery, revealing that her message to the “MONKE” person has been erased from the whiteboard. This adds another layer to the mystery and makes us even more invested in it. How about you?

]]>Garrett Jones, who works at the Rocky Mountain Middle School in Heber City, uploaded a short clip on his TikTok profile a few weeks ago in which he asked his followers to consider donating $1 in favor of settling the “outstanding lunch fees of every student in my middle school”.
The video quickly turned viral, generating more than five million views, while his Venmo account saw $2,000 in donations in just 24 hours.
His campaign continued to pick up steam in the following days. The number of views continued to rise, with the donated amount exceeding $30,000 after a week.
“I was blown away,” Jones said when reached out to by USA TODAY. “I was literally expecting, best-case scenario, maybe we’d get a couple hundred bucks.”
Since the student lunch debt in his school was around $8,000, Jones decided to extend the campaign to the whole Wasatch County School District. He will distribute the funds to other schools in order to help students there to get free meals and be able to focus only on studying and getting good grades.
