]]>The majority of us had to spend some time in quarantine in the past year or so. The experience was different for everyone and had both its good and bad moments.
Besides staying healthy, the good moments also included the ability to be more with our families, focus more on hobbies, learn new skills, and catch up on books, movies, and TV series that we didn’t have time to finish before.
Everyone had their own way of coping with quarantine but did you ever wonder what would happen if fantasy characters were stuck in the same situation? Well, the illustrations from Italian cartoonists Lorenza Di Sepio and Marco Barretta, better known as Simple&Madama, explore that scenario.
The duo decided to create a series of adorable artworks that show how Disney princesses spent their time in quarantine. For example, Elsa and Anna from Frozen played video games while Star Wars‘ Princess Leia was occupied with working on her Millennium Falcon LEGO set.

]]>Melody is a “Party Princess” – every weekend she goes to kid’s birthday parties dressed up as their favorite Disney character to play, sing, and dance with them. She goes to about three parties each weekend, meets 80 kids and takes about 200 photos!
In an interview with Allure Magazine, melody said that the best part about being a Disney Princess is bringing the magic to life for all the boys and girls. That’s why she has an incredibly demanding routine when she prepares for her shows. She gets up at 7:30 to put on her makeup, wig, and dress, and after hours of preparation, she drives up to the party, in her huge dress, to meet the kids.
When the first party is done, she runs back to her car and drives to the next party.
As hard is it may sound, Melody says she loves her jobs. She gets to act, dress up, and make children happy – as a job! So far melody has played Rapunzel, Belle, Maleficent, Cinderella, Snow White, and Ariel, to name a few. But the most popular Disney character is, of course, Elsa.

“I immediately wanted to draw a Snow White (because to me she’s the most damsel-in-distress-y princess ever) that would be armed, dangerous, and in charge of her own fate. That’s how the sequence started.”
