We have seen Disney princesses transformed into various characters – from real life princesses to superheroes to warriors. This time around, freelance illustrator Astor Alexander recreated these fictional women in a more vintage style.
In his series called “Noir Princesses,” Alexander portrayed our favorite Disney ladies as badass noir characters. It is a film genre of the 40’s characterized by cynicism, fatalism, and moral ambiguity.
The talented illustrator captured the artistic side of the genre while maintaining the distinct personalities of the princesses. Check out his stylish creation below.
