]]>Unlike many other artists who create insect art, Okita’s works are huge in size. She designs them so they can be displayed hanging from wires, and they measure up to 9.5 inches wide and around 3.5-4.5 inches tall. Despite being made out of fabric, they are surprisingly realistic. You can be tricked into thinking you’re looking at live creatures before you get too close. How scary would it be running into such a big moth for real?
Okita sells artworks on Etsy so you can check out her store if you’re interested. Make sure to follow her on Instagram as well because her work is truly fascinating. Seeing the insects in the photos is not as scary as in-person; it’s actually quite beautiful. She only has around 6k followers for now, but we believe that people are yet to discover her talent and give her support.

]]>Her aim with her work? To promote a sense of healing. “My brain is constantly lighting up with images and ideas that need to be manifested and given life,” she shared with Four Magazine. “If I were to stop that from happening to focus on other things like sitting in front of a computer or waiting tables, I’d shut down emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.”
But in order for the magic of artistic creation to be achieved, a certain structure should be maintained.“If we as artists want to progress and make magic happen we can’t wait to have a whim of inspiration come our way to get those wheels turning,” says Robinson. Rathe, “we need to find the strength and spark within ourselves at any given moment to get right down to it and produce. It takes discipline, determination, and most importantly, confidence.”
It seems like a lot of work… But you can also enjoy it for afar by following Robinson’s Instagram page. Below you’ll find a collection of her more recent projects:

]]>Incredibly enough, Yeadon taught herself the art of hand embroidery and sewing. “One evening, I randomly decided to dust off my old sewing machine and rekindled my love for textiles,” she recalled in an interview with Enchanted Living Magazine. “I gradually began to incorporate fabrics and machine and hand embroidery into my wire creations at the very end of 2017,” she adds.
Based in Haworth, the UK, her inspiration comes from her natural surroundings. “My favorite way to seek enchantment is by taking long walks,” says Yeadon. Having grown up in the countryside, deep in the North of England, Yeadon’s home was surrounded by open fields and ancient woodlands, while in the distance, the Yorkshire Dale mountains towered above the horizon.
“I’ve always loved climbing mountains in the Lake District with my dad and our family dog, Toby,” she says. “That moment when we finally reach the summit—icy winds whipping around us as damp heavy clouds form a blanket over our view. A peaceful moment in nature, tranquil and calm.”

“It is my intention to raise awareness about the population decline that insects are currently undergoing. They are so important to our ecosystems and their decline is something that puts all of us at risk”, wrote DeLoe on Bored Panda.
Preserving nature through her art is something DeLoe is very passionate about and thousands of people on Instagram seem to have recognized that.
