The post Teacher Treats Third-Graders to Hot Chocolate After Making Full-Court Shot appeared first on TettyBetty.
]]>Fitzpatrick recently gained nationwide attention thanks to a viral video showing her making a full-court basketball shot at the school playground that caused her entire third-grade class to erupt in celebration. The kids were not only celebrating their teacher’s basketball skills, but also the fact that they would get some hot chocolate as a result.
As it turns out, Fitzpatrick made a special deal with the students; they would all get treated with a hot chocolate party if she makes the shot. And the teacher made good on her word, putting smiles on the third-graders’ faces.
“I think it was a tie between who was more excited. I knew it was going to go in, but at the same time I was hoping because I had promised them hot chocolate, so it had to go in,” Fitzpatrick later told CNN while revealing that she wanted to reward the third-graders for a hard-working week that saw them have two tests in one day.
Fitzpatrick didn’t rely on pure luck to make the shot, either. She’s a very talented basketball player and even played at the college level, being coached by Hall of Famer Vivian Stringer.
After witnessing their teacher’s skills, there’s no doubt that the students will want to make further bets with Fitzpatrick. With the odds stacked in their favor, there might be even a homework-free week in store for these lucky third-graders down the line.

]]>After giving birth to their daughter Alix in 2019, Vanobbergen returned to work and left Deuss in charge of the child. Like every other new mom, Vanobbergen was curious about what her baby girl was doing and often asked Deuss for updates.
One time, Deuss decided to get creative with his response, photoshopping Alix to make her seem like she was in danger.
“At first, she reacted with confusion because she couldn’t comprehend what happened in the picture. But she quickly realized it was a joke,” Deuss shared with Today in a recent interview.
Soon, this became a sort of a ritual for the two, and Deuss started sending Vanobbergen edited photos on a weekly basis. When Alix’s sister Aster was born earlier this year, she also joined the fun.
At one point, Deuss became curious about how the public would react to his edits, so he started an Instagram account called On Adventure With Dad. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and his page reached an impressive number of 326K followers.

]]>Nimako has been getting crafty with LEGOs since childhood, so exploring the artistic side of the plastic bricks came naturally to him. After getting a formal art education and gaining experience in multidisciplinary art, Nimako developed a unique style that is now recognizable worldwide.
“My art practice developed when I was four years old, as I constantly told myself I want to do this (play with LEGO) forever,” said the artist in a recent interview.
While Nimako used colorful LEGO bricks at the beginning, he has been working solely with black LEGOs in recent years. According to him, this way, he can “mute” the toy aspect of the LEGO and present it as an art medium.
Nimako’s sculptures can be made out of hundreds of thousands of LEGO bricks and can take anywhere from 50 hours to 1000 hours to make.
Aside from being a recognized artist, Nimako is also an accomplished author. In 2017, he published the book “Beasts from Bricks”, which serves as a guide for building animals using Legos.

]]>In order to create unique memories for Leticia, de Ouro came up with a photo session that recreated some of the most famous paintings in the world of art. This included Leonardo Da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa”, Johannes Vermeer’s “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” and Frida Kahlo’s “Self-Portrait Dedicated to Dr. Eloesser”.
The photo shooting had Leticia dressed in appropriate costumes, while de Ouro also made sure to pay attention to details like accessories and background. As you can see, the results were both innovative and adorable. How did he come up with this idea?
Despite being less than a month old when the session took place, Leticia proved to be a patient model, and the project was a full success. It captured the feel of the iconic works while also giving them a heartwarming note.

]]>As the pandemic happened and the countries went in total lockdown, the struggles began to hit. One of the most significant questions was: “How do I continue educating children out of a classroom?” 11 months later, things are the same as they were one year ago.
To “celebrate” the one-year mark of the pandemic and online learning, Rose decided to share all the pros and cons of teaching during COVID-19.
“From the magic of the ‘mute all’ button to the horrors of brown sink water, take a look at life in a school from the people who are trying their best to run the show as normally as they can (or at least not add more trauma to the children),” she shared in a statement for Bored Panda.
However, alongside her pandemic-related-teaching, she also depicts events from the time everything was normal and classes were held in the classroom.

“My daughter and I have a wonderful, communicative relationship,” the mom wrote on her Facebook profile. “We are very silly together and understand the importance of being ridiculous and absurd. I honestly did not expect this post to go viral—it was just another silly thing we did.”
The hilarious post soon went viral, where it has reached over 55,000 reactions and 136,000 shares. Moved by people’s reactions, Campbell asked her followers to donate to an organization called Jumping Mouse Children’s Centre that does play-based therapy with children who have gone through some kind of trauma.
