Esra Roise’s Fashionable Drawings are On Fleek

Esra Roise’s illustrations feature fashionable women going about their fashionable lives. Inspired by the fashion industry and pop-culture in general, her work also caters to a trendy audience, with brands like VOGUE, Stella McCartney, Burberry, and Urban Outfitters, offering her coveted collaborations.

Based in Oslo, Norway, Roise had a passion for art from a very young age. “I’ve been drawing since I was just a little girl, and it has always been something that has gives me lots of joy, and I’ve never really had any other plan,” she shared. Indeed, having grown up, she enrolled at The Einar Granum School of Art, and has later received her BA in Visual Communication from The Academy of The Arts in Oslo.

“Drawing has always been the only thing I’ve really really wanted to do, so I guess I’ve never really pursued anything else with the same passion,” she says. “I’ve been lucky enough to be graced with awesome clients that often let me play around with the given tasks, and just do my thing, which I very much enjoy.”

Aside from the fashion scene, her inspiration also comes from her careful observations of the world around her. “I find inspiration everywhere, really,” she says. “In people around me, popular culture, books, youth culture, magazines, and music, but the fashion industry and the internet are my absolute go-to sources for neverending inspiration.”

Below you’ll find some samples of her playful work.
