For Bufalino, the long rectangular shape just screams “pool!” So he got a back, tipped it over on its side, hollowed the inside and filled it with water. All it needed was a ladder in front so that people may enjoy easy access into the water on those hot Parisian days.
Sports cars, on the other hand, are clearly meant to be seen and be admired. So what could be better for the entrepreneurial vendor on the street to attract customers than having his own red sports car, converted into a vending stand? Just prop up the upper half so that the lower part can be used as a multi-purpose kitchen surface, and start grilling!
These are just a few examples. Bufalino is bound to keep coming up with more ideas that are even more outrageous, so keep an eye on his Instagram page!

]]>Ukranian Band Brunettes Shoot Blondes came up with an ingenious solution. They were looking for a way to play their song “Houston” live, but the song was originally recorded with the backing of a full orchestra!
Amazingly enough, the band’s solution was to create an entirely new instrument… which allows them to become an orchestra all by themselves. They took a grand piano, hollowed it out, and filled it up with a bunch of instruments: Violins, cello, tambourine, xylophone, castanets, and even a drum set. All in all, they fitted 20 different instruments into the piano, while still keeping some of the original keys.
The result is a masterpiece of creative engineering, and it sounds like pure magic. Of course, they could just play a simple synthesizer, but it wouldn’t quite have the same sound, and just as importantly, wouldn’t look half as cool.
Give “Houston” a listen below, and check out that piano!

Though she draws in a variety of styles, from Minimalism and Impressionism to conceptual and Abstract Art, the common theme that runs throughout seems to be the universal yearning for freedom and self-discovery.
Most of Dua’s paintings are composed of a multilayered background which takes intense work and dedication to perfection, and a focused item in the foreground, delicately placed as to achieve a precarious balance.
It’s this tension between background and foreground that gives Dua’s art its unique feeling. Indeed, looking at paintings such as the ones below, we can feel the sense of simple lightness that Dua had to work so hard to achieve.

]]>Although KAWS (real name Brian Donnelly) creates art in many different mediums, what he mostly came to be known for are his 3D characters, created in sizes that range from tiny to humongous. His most recognized character is a skull-faced creature with two Xs for eyes and patches of grey hair on the side of its head.
KAWS rise to prominence was aided by his extensive use of social media, Instagram in particular. When asked by Vogue how he feels about IG, KAWS answered: “I like it! I think it’s a nice way for people to get to know you.”
Expanding further on his lifestyle, KAWS added: “I go from my home to my studio and back home, and that’s the routine. I kind of live in a bubble.” He then explained how social media helped him to break out of that routine: “I want to be more candid and more honest about what I do. For me, I think it’s better to be this way, throwing little pieces of work out there [on Instagram].”

]]>Enter Siam James, a freelance illustrator born in Hong-Kong, now residing in Oxford, UK. She mostly uses digital tools to create images that are practically dripping with charm, and sometimes actual magic.
James’ art looks like Disney and Ghibli Studios decided to co-write the most amazing children’s book ever. It features young boys and girls in fantastical settings, interacting with otherworldly creatures and generally having a great, wholesome time.
Interestingly, James is a trained archaeologist who specializes in early medieval times. We suspect her academic background is one reason why her creations are so multi-layered and effective.
“My art draws inspiration from history, folklore, nature, and childhood,” James writes on her website. “I am passionate about creating children’s book illustrations, and exploring how colors, lighting, and composition can be used not only to tell stories but also inspire a unique story in each viewer’s own imagination.”

]]>Employing a freehand needle painting style, Giordano’s amazingly picked up embroidery by “trying out various ideas and seeing what worked best, followed by a lot of practice,” as she explains on her website.
She says an animal embroidery takes her about a week to complete, and considering the level of detail, the preciseness of her work, and how tiny it actually is, we’re amazed it doesn’t take a whole month!
“I began to sew in the last year of my illustration degree at the University of the West of England,” writes Giordano, “and since graduating in 2011 I have continued to experiment with freehand embroidery, using sewing thread and hand-dyed fabrics to make my work.”
We were not surprised to learn that among Giordano’s clients are huge names like Bloomsbury, Vintage Book, Liberty, Penguin, Frances Lincoln, the BFI and more. She even has a book, The Embroidered Art of Chloe Giordano, coming out this month on Search Press!

Of course, her aforementioned pizza is a bit different than what you might find in the local pizzeria, but Abbey’s message is simple: Food is to be enjoyed. Health will naturally come from fostering a healthy relationship with what you eat.
“My mission is to empower people to embrace the pleasure of eating, share and celebrate good food, and foster healthy relationships with their bodies and minds,” she said in an interview with P.S. You’re Beautiful. “I hope I demonstrate this in my balanced approach to my blog. I post about crazy food events where I eat burgers on cronut buns, and I post healthy recipes for the crockpot. I want people to fall back in love with food and that experience of eating.”
Being a mother herself, Sharp also touches on health issues that children might have with food. For example, she gives great advice on how to expose your little ones to certain foods in a way that will prevent them from developing food allergies down the way.
And what about diets? “[it] absolutely doesn’t work,” says Sharp. “First of all, I don’t think weight loss should ever be the end goal; health should be the goal. Weight loss, if it happens, should just be a side effect. Second, when someone comes to me with a new diet, I usually ask “can you do this for the rest of your life?” If the answer is no, I suggest you don’t start.

Every print carries on its backside Vicki’s Flower-Art statement. It declares: “Nothing taped, nothing glued, just Mother Nature balancing delicately on itself. The actual act of creating each piece, for me, is therapeutic, spending lots of time outside walking and foraging, truly in the moment, my eyes scanning every square inch of my surroundings.

True to the spirit of her art, Vicki makes sure the materials she works with find their way back to nature: “After I finish the piece, I document it with a photograph, being very careful not to bump the table and Mother Nature’s house of cards. The last step is to recycle it all back into the earth or into my next piece.”
