]]>Schneider got her fine arts degree at Rutgers University in New Jersey and went on to find success as a freelance illustrator. She forged her own path in this competitive industry and attracted over 60,000 followers to her Instagram page, in addition to working with such high-profile publications as The Washington Post and The New York Times.
Schneider’s comics became a huge hit online thanks to their honest and relatable nature. She describes her comics as “increasingly earnest” since they focus on the little joys and annoyances of daily life we’ve all faced at some point.
After finding success with her comics on social media, Schneider is finally working on her very first graphic novel. It will be titled I’d Like You to Like Me and center on “a 15-year-old Meg during two weeks at a Pentecostal sleepaway camp in the Adirondacks, where first love challenges Meg’s faith and view of the world forever.”

]]>People I’ve Loved was founded by Carissa Potter, who used to work at Colpa Press before deciding to start a company of her own. Over a decade had passed since, and she gathered a group of talented artists around her, who are running People I’ve Loved by each other’s side.
People I’ve Loved illustrations are created with one goal in mind – facilitating connection between people and helping them search for the miraculous yet tragic definition of what it means to exist in this time and space.
“Giving in to nostalgic thoughts, buried longings, and hope for the future—People I’ve Loved embraces the whole range of human emotion. We revel in the grey areas and want to make space for your tears and your joy, in equal measure,” reads Potter’s official website.
Potter’s comforting illustrations attracted over 900,000 followers to People I’ve Loved’s Instagram page, and this brand is now selling everything from prints and greeting cards to journals and notebooks inspired by their art.

]]>Carmes is a successful visual development and concept artist from Marseille, France, who pursued his degree in graphic design at the prestigious École de Condé. He decided to use the power of social media to put his work on the map and ended up attracting over 400,000 followers to his Instagram page.
Carmes finds inspiration everywhere he turns, especially in cinema, photography, and the work of other artists. His illustrations look straight out of this world, while still offering glimpses of our daily life, providing a perfect balance between decay and bloom, beauty and madness.
Carmes’ duality is the main thing that will draw you to his illustrations, and it’s truly awe-inspiring that they manage to be eerie and serine, all at once. The sense of loneliness is always lurking beyond the horizon because his illustrations often feature lone heroes, but Carmes wants people to visualize themselves in their place when they look at them and imagine what it’s like to inhabit these eerie worlds.

]]>Worcester has been drawn to creating art from an early age and has always enjoyed entering the worlds of fantasy and intrigue through his work. He never thought he’d be able to do it full-time when he was younger, and decided to pursue mechanical engineering because it seemed like a safer choice.
He changed his mind after the pandemic hit, and he was given the time and space to explore his true passions after graduating from high school. He started mixing the elements of digital painting and 3D art while developing his signature style.
Worcester describes himself as someone who’s creating “vibrant and colorful worlds filled with light, magic, and just the right amount of nonsense.” His illustrations combine elements of lighting and geometry to create eye-catching and unique effects.
Worcester’s portfolio is pretty extensive, but his signature ghost drawings are definitely among his most popular. They show adorable ghosts covered with bedsheets enjoying all sorts of everyday situations, reminding us that their human spirit lives on, even after they’re gone.

He’s not always sure how the painting will come up until he finishes it: “I’ll have a vague idea of color and a small piece of a figure I can’t quite make out stuck in my head, and I’ll have to make it,” he says.
There’s something about certain artists that gives them the confidence to just barrel into a production and not necessarily knowing what’s going to happen, and yet having the confidence that it’s going to turn out well.
Such is certainly the case with Willcox and his work. Sometimes, the inspiration comes to him in dreams or during meditation sessions.

]]>Frost is engaged in lots of other projects, including creating kids’ books, but the part of his creative output that we really enjoy are the simple animations he shares on social media.
The artist’s Instagram profile is full of short clips that are created in a simple manner but are so captivating that you can’t take your eyes off them.
For example, one of his animations shows a human-like figure dancing between flying swords. And as many times you see the loop, you are impressed with the elegance of the figure and its ability to avoid the sharp edges.
Another animation shows the amazing versatility of a banana. For example, it can be used as a seesaw, skateboard, bike wheel, and much more.
According to Frost, he approaches his animated videos, which he calls “idiotic zen poetry,” similarly to the way comedians approach one-liner jokes. He believes they are crafted in a way that every line fits perfectly together, and removing just one would ruin the entire joke.

]]>Inspired by these great times, Belgian artist Bert Musketon recently decided to start an art series in which he illustrated random objects from the era. Musketon set himself a challenge to make 29 illustrations in 29 days, and the results are awesome.
Among his works are all those objects that you liked growing up if you were a kid in the ’90s. The list includes a Nintendo Game Boy, an old school Casio watch, a Playstation 1 console, a VHS tape, a mobile phone with an antenna, and much more.
According to Musketon, all of these illustrations have been created using Adobe Illustrator.
“I drew one object every single day for 29 days straight,” he explains. “On average it took me 4 hours per drawing counting up to an average total of 116 hours to create all these artworks.”
This hard work really paid off, as the illustrations proved to be quite a hit among his social media followers. Check out more of them below.

]]>After moving homes, Yuming was working as a UI designer for a couple of years. Now he lives in Yantai, a coastal city of China.
“It just feels easier to create work in digital,” he said in an interview for Ballpit and added that social media like Instagram, Behance, and Zcool, as well as colleague artists, illustrators, and designers, inspire him the most. “I love every simple thing. Especially graphic illustration. Simple grey color. I’m moving in that direction.”
Yuming can get inspired by anything. He only thinks about “some keywords and makes some sketches, then colors it”.
Although he has a small following, he really hopes people will love his art and inspire them to feel happy and relaxed when they encounter his work.

Often it’s the news—especially during COVID,” the artist said in a statement for Bored Panda. “Sometimes it’s seasonal — like holidays or Halloween. Other times it’s just an observation of the silliness I see in things. Sometimes I have a clear idea for a message at the start. Sometimes I just start drawing, and a message will emerge.”
Halloween wasn’t too long ago, and as he mentioned, his Instagram account is currently full of comics about candy corn-stuff.
Throughout his entire career, Goris has been focusing on branding, identity, and creative work for national organizations, institutions, and non-profits. But only a few years ago, he started doing something for his soul: he has taken up painting for the first time in three decades.
