The post Tour of NYC Apartment Goes Viral for All the Wrong Reasons appeared first on TettyBetty.
]]>Okocha recently gave his Instagram followers a tour of an apartment in Manhattan’s Nolita neighborhood that is in the running for having the “worst layout” he ever seen.
Right off the bat, it becomes obvious that whoever designed the apartment didn’t have comfort in mind. The shower is shockingly close to the front door while also being basically part of the kitchen. To make it worse, it isn’t actually a shower but a small semi-open cubicle with a shower head planted on the wall and a drain on the floor.
Furthermore, the toilet doesn’t have a sink or a light, while the kitchen looks like it was randomly put together in the worst place possible. But that isn’t the best part. Despite everything, the owner still feels comfortable asking for a whopping price of $3,495 per month.
It is safe to say that internet users were shocked by what they’ve seen and made sure to show it in the comments section.
“Jail for everyone involved,” one user commented.
“That price doesn’t leave much leftover for therapy because of the depression you’ll get for living here,” another added.

]]>TikToker Brittany Christiana recently shared a clip on social media that shows how her baby daughter Violet reacted to receiving a scary doll as a gift. To make things even more interesting, it was her older daughter Lilly who recommended it.
The video starts with Lilly holding a green demonic baby doll and asking her mother whether they can buy it for “baby Violet” with an excited look on her face. After Christiana agrees, they introduce the doll to Violet, who immediately falls in love with it.
Not only did Violet immediately embrace the scary doll, but the baby girl also didn’t want to let it go when it was time for her to go to sleep.
The video got more than 35 million views while getting 25K comments from TikTokers who were amazed by Violet’s reaction.
“It’s like they are too full of love to see anything scary,” one user wrote. “The way she got progressively more excited the closer you brought it to her,” another added.

]]>Davydov enjoyed building things with his hands from early childhood. He was making simplistic sculptures using any material he could get his hands on, but as he grew older, his creative process became more complex.
Nowadays, Davydov uses clay, paper, fabric, and wood, among other materials, to craft countryside houses, elaborate buildings, and sometimes complete small towns that can fit on one’s palm. They all have imaginative elements added to them, being placed on top of trees or built on Moon-like structures.
Davydov aims to spark imagination with his works but also to send a message about the current state of the world.
“It is not difficult to see in my works the idea of the fragility of the world, behind thin glass—in photographs where these worlds literally fit in one hand,” he shared in a recent chat with Art of Play. “I broke glass several times and repaired some tiny world that had accidentally fallen, but this will not work with our world. It is alone, and it is in our hands.”

]]>The post This TikToker’s Gym Mystery Even Got Author John Green Intrigued appeared first on TettyBetty.
]]>Last week, @katherout shared a video on her TikTok that detailed her attempt to uncover a “little mystery” happening in her gym. According to TikToker, there is a whiteboard in her gym that allows gymgoers to write messages on topics provided by the gym staff. They range from favorite songs to questions like “If you were a potato, how would you be prepared?”
Going through answers on the whiteboard, @katherout noticed that someone was always writing the word “MONKE” no matter what the topic was.
“This is very amusing to me because I’m very attracted to commitment to the bit,” she explained in the video.
The TikToker then decided to embark on a mission to discover the identity of the “MONKE” person. She tried to get the individual to reveal themselves via whiteboard message and even left a note with her number on the gym’s front desk.
While she still didn’t solve the mystery, @katherout managed to amuse the internet with her quest. The original video was viewed by more than 16 million people and attracted thousands of comments, including one from John Green, writer of novels Looking for Alaska and The Fault is in Our Stars.
“This is a great American drama. I am highly invested,” wrote Green via his TikTok profile @literallyjohngreen and encouraged @katherout to keep on with her quest.
Since then, @katherout issued a second update on the mystery, revealing that her message to the “MONKE” person has been erased from the whiteboard. This adds another layer to the mystery and makes us even more invested in it. How about you?

]]>Garrett Jones, who works at the Rocky Mountain Middle School in Heber City, uploaded a short clip on his TikTok profile a few weeks ago in which he asked his followers to consider donating $1 in favor of settling the “outstanding lunch fees of every student in my middle school”.
The video quickly turned viral, generating more than five million views, while his Venmo account saw $2,000 in donations in just 24 hours.
His campaign continued to pick up steam in the following days. The number of views continued to rise, with the donated amount exceeding $30,000 after a week.
“I was blown away,” Jones said when reached out to by USA TODAY. “I was literally expecting, best-case scenario, maybe we’d get a couple hundred bucks.”
Since the student lunch debt in his school was around $8,000, Jones decided to extend the campaign to the whole Wasatch County School District. He will distribute the funds to other schools in order to help students there to get free meals and be able to focus only on studying and getting good grades.

]]>Others, like Alex Zane and his daughter Matilda, started exciting projects that became huge on social media.
Zane and Matilda is the duo behind the viral Instagram page Tot for Tot Remakes, which features recreations of iconic scenes from movies. Zane is responsible for the behind-the-scenes work and logistics, while five-year-old Matilda is the star of the show. Together, they produce charming shots beloved by tens of thousands of people from around the globe.
In a recent interview with Movie Metropolis, Zane revealed that this intriguing project came together accidentally. Matilda was trying to surf a small plastic car one day and he was immediately reminded of the scene from the 1985 movie Teen Wolf. Zane snapped a photo shared it on social media alongside the original, and the rest is history.
Since then, the two recreated more than 100 different scenes from classics like The Shining, Die Hard, Shawshank Redemption, and The Matrix. They intend to do much more as the project is fun for both and is helping them create a stronger bond. Check out more of their recreations below.

]]>The project is currently in its early phases and is being tested in the city of Södertälje. The crows are being taught to pick up cigarettes butts and bring them to a designated container. Each time they do that, they get rewarded with peanuts.
Christian Günther-Hanssen, the man behind Corvid Cleaning, envisions that this project could cut the costs of street cleaning for the city and help them use funds in other areas of need. Sweden has a significant issue with cigarette butts, which make up an estimated 60% of all the litter in the country.
“The estimation for the cost of picking up cigarette butts today is around 80 öre ($0.09) or more per cigarette butt, some say 2 Krona ($0.22),” Günther-Hanssen explains. “If the crows pick up cigarette butts, this would maybe be 20 öre ($0.023) per cigarette butt. The saving for the municipality depends on how many cigarette butts the crows pick up.”
The idea might seem far-fetched to some, but a video of crows in action shared by Günther-Hanssen shows otherwise.
However, before the project takes off, several more steps need to be covered. One of them is doing a study related to concerns about the negative impact of cigarette butts on crows.
“An important part of the upcoming pilot test is to monitor the levels of compounds in the birds, in order to remove the unknowns,” Günther-Hanssen adds. “Should any reach dangerous levels the project will be modified to exclude any items containing those compounds.”
