Queen was a famous British rock band in the 70’s with Freddie Mercury as their talented lead vocalist. The band produced numerous hits including “Bohemian Rhapsody,” a theatrical six-minute suite consisting of several sections without a chorus: an intro, a ballad segment, an operatic passage, a hard rock part, and a reflective code.

Several bands and musicians have covered this legendary song but trombonist Christopher Bill has thought of one of the most artistic ways to do it. Together with 27 fellow trombonists, they assembled to perform “Bohemian Rhapsody” using only their musical instruments.

The epic cover took place at the 2018 International Trombone Festival. Bill referred to it as his “secret project,” and he is proud to gather some of the most talented trombonists today – several of whom play in symphonies around the globe.
