Designers Were Hired to Redecorate Bathroom Without Changing the Tiles

A creative design studio Gyva Grafika from Lithuania was hired to redecorate a bathroom in a local restaurant, Galeria Urbana. The problem occurred when they wanted to change the tiles, but the owner didn’t allow it.

The creatives from the agency brainstormed and came up with a perfect solution. “Lithuania often neglects its public spaces,” they said. “A lot of people live in the cleanest apartments but once they step outside the situation changes completely. Stairwells, yards, and other public spaces are usually abandoned and ignored. For this reason, we have decided to balance these daily surroundings and introduced the outside to the inside.”

What did they do? They took photos of the neighborhood they grew up in, printed the images on sticker paper and put it over the existing tiles. The project was a hit on social media and the agency has even started selling tiles like these. See how the finished bathroom looks below.
