Librairie Mollat is France’s first independent bookstore, opening its shop in 1896. Over the years, the employees have been sharing on Instagram the series called “Bookface”, featuring people holding books up to their faces, which impeccably appear to be the person’s actual face (even if that face is a cartoon character or a cat).

The photos show how book covers resembled its employees and their customers, and they fit amazingly well into the people holding them. Today, the bookstore has over 63k followers on Instagram and people love the creative way its employees promote the bookstore.

Here are some of the cheeky and fun pictures.
