There is much more to origami than just folding paper into cranes and other shapes. This type of art requires a lot of patience and use of advanced techniques in order to achieve the best results. This is best seen in the works of origami artist Hoang Tien Quyet, who uses a special technique known as “wet-folding.”
With the help of “wet-folding,” which includes dampening the paper, this Vietnam-based artist manages to create origami that has a more realistic look and curves instead of sharp edges. Also, thanks to this technique, Tien Quyet can create more elaborate shapes.
