Art has many forms and meanings, and it often is a lot more than the first look reveals. The artists often aim to provoke the audience and make them think about the matters they find important.
Gerhard Haderer’s art is surely controversial. For one of his books, The Life of Jesus, he had to go to court and was convicted for insulting the religious community. The artist started his career as an illustrator and graphic designer in the ’80s. After he was cured of cancer in 1985, he left the corporate world and started a freelance career.
