Japanese Studio Creates Art Installation That Transforms With the Seasons

Known for its immersive installations using technology to create 3D art, Japanese art, and tech studio teamLab describes their group as an “art collective that explores a new relationship between humans and the world through art that transcends boundaries.”

Their latest piece, “Forest of Resonating Lamps – One Stroke, Spring Mountain Fields,” is a spring-themed immersive experience on view as part of the teamLab Borderless digital art museum in Tokyo.

Guests are invited to explore the room filled with Murano glass lamps which respond to their movement by emitting light that resonates out to neighboring lamps. Colors of Golden Kerria, Kerria Sprouts, Blue Kerria, Kerria Blossoms, and Peach filled the mirror-paved room, creating a magical world that only one can imagine.
