LEGO Reveals 2-in-1 “Legend of Zelda” Set

LEGO enthusiasts who are also video game fans have long dreamed of a set dedicated to Nintendo’s iconic video game series, Legend of Zelda. Well, now they finally got their dream come true.

LEGO and Nintendo recently unveiled the first Legend of Zelda-themed set that focuses on the video game’s iconic character, the Great Deku Tree. The character, described as “guardian of the forest,” makes appearances in four main Legend of Zelda video games as well as a number of other Nintendo releases.

Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree set, which consists of 2,500-pieces, is actually two sets in one. Fans can choose to build the Great Deku Tree as it appears in Ocarina of Time or as it appears in Breathe of Wild. The set also contains several interesting pieces, including the Master Sword pedestal and Link’s House, alongside minifigures of Princess Zelda and three versions of Link.

Both versions come with interactive features. The Ocarina of Time version has a lever that animates Great Deku Tree’s face while the Breathe of Wild version can open its mouth to reveal a Skulltula, a giant species of spider that is featured in the game.

The LEGO Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree set is currently available for pre-order with shipments set to begin on 1st September.

“I’m really thrilled that The Legend of Zelda is joining the world of LEGO bricks, which has spurred the creative impulses of so many people of all ages,” Eiji Aonuma, Producer of The Legend of Zelda series, said in a statement.
