The artwork Nick White creates can be described as playful and fun, but some might see it as juvenile and too silly. With his work, White proves that art doesn’t always need to be serious, but that it’s also important to play with forms and techniques without any particular point in mind.
The artist has come a long way from creating “very dense, very busy and looking quite tight” pieces. “I have been trying to simplify my work”, White says. “Embrace the mistakes and accidents that I enjoyed in my roughs”.
