Jani Ylinampa is a nature photographer based in Finnish Lapland. He loves to capture the beauty of Northern Lights, beautiful lakes, forests and other breathtaking sceneries.

He started taking photographs about 15 years ago when he was hiking in the northern Lapland and northern Norway. At first, he was just focused on capturing the northern lights but today his interests also include the wonders of nature.

One of them was the changing beauty of Kotisaari island in Rovaniemi, a legendary lumberjack town. Kotisaari used to be a traditional stronghold of the Lumberjacks in Kemijoki and can only be reached by boat along the scenic Kemi river. Jani documented the island from a drone throughout the season. Scroll down to see the captivating photos of the tiny place.
