A brave raccoon became an internet superstar after climbing the 25-story UBS building in St. Paul, Minnesota.

He was named as MPR Raccoon because Minnesota Public Radio was one of the first news outlets to report about this adventurous creature, according to People.

MPR reporter Tim Nelson posted a photo of the raccoon curled up in the 2nd-story ledge of the Town Square complex, a building attached to the UBS tower, tweeting, “It’s been there for two days now, without food or water.”

The hashtag #mprraccoon began to spread quickly and the internet held its breath as he climbed the skyscraper. Many were calling for emergency help to rescue the raccoon, but wildlife experts said that a rescuer might scare the animal, causing him to fall off the building, according to KARE11.

So authorities set live traps on the roof with plenty of food for the critter, who is definitely hungry after his journey. The raccoon arrived at the summit of the building around 3 a.m. Wednesday, where he was able to enjoy its hard-earned meal.

UBS confirmed via Twitter that MPR Raccoon was safely trapped on the roof and is set to be released by Wildlife Management Services into the suburbs of the Twin Cities.

The daring animal has inspired a lot of memes and even has its own Twitter account with thousands of followers.
