Spencer Arnold has been working as a reef sculptor for 4 years now and made some installations but nothing compared to his latest masterpiece.

According to Spencer, “The Tree of Life is an electrified artificial reef, which causes it to form a crust of limestone on its surfaces creating a bio-engineered habitat for the coral that we’ll garden across the sculpture.” This is just a part of a bigger electrified site that he’s been creating together with New Heaven Reef Conservation Program (NHRCP) and in collaboration with coralAID for the past two years.

The NHRCP was initially created to train professional drivers and those interested in coral reef ecology, introducing them to the practical applications of marine conservation biology. Today, the reef conservation program continues to grow, having several marine projects and initiatives.
