These Illustrations Prove That Less is More

You can never go wrong with minimalism. A lifestyle, an art form, and really a movement – minimalism is the ultimate proof that less is more.

Adam Goldberg creates minimalist, graphic versions of animals in his illustrated series, which combines geometric shapes, dots, and lines. His work calls to mind artists like Miro, Calder, and Kandinsky.

Working as the creative director of the design studio, TRÜF, Goldberg’s design work clearly rubbed off to his illustrations.

“My many years in branding has influenced the style and execution of illustrations and not necessarily the other way around —although it is a merger of both aesthetics,” he said in an interview with Adobe Create Magazine.

The simplicity, geometry, and composure that we try to achieve with our branding work rubs off on the artwork. I think more in terms of composition and balance more now than I ever have — and that’s because of the branding work.”

“Just because you’re a branding studio doesn’t mean you have to be stuck in a box doing only one thing,” he explained.

You can buy his printed illustrations in TRÜF’s online store. Check out some of his designs below.
